I'm sure you can mcgiver something from hardware and sports dept
I almost left home in a t-shirt. Shit it is cold.
44 degrees, wind feels like 39
Perfect weather
I mean to each his own but id recommend pants too. Or not.
But God help you if you forget your mask. Thats a crime now
I dont wear a mask when i go out they dont stop me
I ordered some online too small for my fat head. So I'm back to not wearing one. I actually want to, just because we never get the choice to conceal our faces in normal life.
If i wear a mask i wear my gas mask
My uncle was just telling me that the cops in the town over were handing out $500 fines if you *approached* the Wal-Mart there with out a mask. Like running up on folks getting out the car "SIR! PUT ON A MASK OR I **WILL** FINE YOU!!" God damn. Welcome to 1984 version 2.0
Speaking of cops looks like Oregon might loose some
@GRANITE I have personal experience with them and prefer the sawyer over the lifestraw
What state is that? They've been pretty chill in MN.
In the Democratic peoples rebuplic of Massachusetts
Lol
That shit didn't fly here lol
The people said hell no
Capital D intentionally included lol. Our "Republican" party here is basically six guys and three women. Gov. Baker wandered in one day and being the youngest man they had seen attend in 30 years, he gets to be governor for a whileπ π π
@GRANITE never personally used but from what I've read the Sawyer mini is better, but curious how well they work too.
The sawyer mini is superior
Just for the fact you can use it in line with you hydro carrier makes it better for me. But it had a cleaner taste also.
I'd opt for the Sawyer squeeze. Same thing as the mini with a better flow rate.
@GRANITE I've been stocking up on purification tablets. I'm curious about the life straw type devices but aside from camping I don't really see them being terribly useful long term
doesnt hurt to have some tablets and a life straw
I don't see the difference in the 2 party system. There's just an "us and them" now. The politicians are just slightly oppressive to extremely oppressive. There's very few "I stand for the people" politicians now days.
I have a HikerPro Katadyn filter. Love it
Same
More expensive than a lifestraw, but worth it
The sawyer is the same price
@Mountain Man π I'm just worried about like long term need for replacement. I haven't really read up or looked but I can't imagine they would be good for day to day use for too long. But I'm going shopping today anyway so now I gotta get oneππ
yeah my life straw lasted like 3 camping trips. And i usually camp once a month sooo that aint gonna cut it cheif
Where I live it's common to stay over 90 degrees, even at night and especially in the summer. Combine that with 80+% humidity most of the year. And you need some serious water supplies. Dehydration is a constant risk in southern Texas
Get a filter with a serviceable (cleanable) ceramic filter
@Lucky Texan the founders feared the two party system would lead to just that. They've become a pair of brothers who disagree on hard to beat up their little brother(us) and if to let them keep 1/2 or 1/4 of their lunch money
Minnesota has a practically infinite source of fresh water if you have the means to purify it.
Hell, I carry over a gallon of water when I leave the house most days. lol
@Bogs_Bunny and land if you can take it lol
I mean, I still drink WAY to much coffee but im up to at least 1/2 gallon of water a day. More if its above 40. *gettin sweaty over here boss*
*drinkin it up over here boss*
No cool hand luke fans??
I've considered a Sawyer Point Zero Two home base filter
