It's not materialist dude.
it is explicitly so
Matter is just a representation
There's no such thing as matter
I agree with that actually
matter is "existing"
existing in time
What does that have to do with the intelligibility of the world persisting in spite of fragmented perceptions?
the afterlife will have a "material" element as much as life does for instance
And about what you said.
I'm explicitly rejecting the mind/body dichotomy
thq qualia problem is a good illustration of why consciousness cannot be reduced to this
There is no mind body problem
At all
if all you are saying is consciousness cannot exist in time
i.e. we cannot think
without all of that
I don't disagree
but it doesn't address the basic phenomenon or quality of consciousness
A ball kicked doesn't return to you until a wall it hits reverses its motion. Did the ball have its will to continue forward resisted by the wall? Rather than that, the ball is constantly reacting to its environment, and in the same sense, your senses are constant receivers of stimulus.
like prisms
or lenses
which focus undifferentiated consciousness
"<hella_pitted> what you guys call order is merely abstract patterns we invent out of representions." Why could we represent?
Why isn't that an impossible task?
In truth we had found the key
But its application would unravel this mystery
Why could we pattern*
Consciousness can't be fundamental like that
what is there to be conscious of
itself
undifferentiated consciousness would be conscious of itself, its consciousness
its existence
But you never experience consciousness
the closest we get to experiencing consciousness is sleep
IF ONLY THEY COULD UNDERSTAND HARDANGERVIDDA LIKE ME
Is consciousness awareness, and will desire?
You're not conscious during sleep but you exist
it would explain the use of the term "woke"
which is kind of a neat parallel to draw between inarticulate people who are trying to explain some phenomenon
