I hate myself for it too

2017-03-07 11:08:10 UTC

have you thought about getting a cooking degree

2017-03-07 11:08:13 UTC

be a chef

2017-03-07 11:08:21 UTC

you can afford it now right

2017-03-07 11:36:21 UTC

I enjoy cooking, was a breakfast cook for about six months, but baking is all the real experience I have unfortunately. I'm going to work on improving my outlook and bide my time to see if a management job comes up some place. They do often here.

2017-03-07 11:36:57 UTC

if not, I can always get hired at one of the big bakeries in town.

2017-03-07 11:37:25 UTC

I'm not really concerned about being hired as much as finding an optimal position. I'm tired of settling

2017-03-07 12:19:46 UTC

veganism is the leading cause of effeminacy, experts say

2017-03-07 12:20:44 UTC

Consumption of Apple products and unprotected butt sex are highly correlated, leading experts in the field report

2017-03-07 12:25:13 UTC

ildjarn is vegan; your research is flawed.

2017-03-07 12:27:00 UTC

Black Metal music highly correlated to life in suburbs and highly burreaucratic socialist conformist welfare states, leading team of researches from University of Cambridge report

2017-03-07 12:27:12 UTC

ie white people

2017-03-07 12:33:18 UTC

ILDJARN EATS DUMB PEOPLE

2017-03-07 12:33:42 UTC

@vry_o ANYTIME YOU THINK SUBWAY SUCKS, CONSIDER THE ALTERNATIVES

2017-03-07 12:33:59 UTC

I AGREE ON NOT SETTLING

2017-03-07 12:34:15 UTC

@The Enlightened Shepherd BLACK METAL GOT URBANIZED, HILARIOUSLY, BUT ITS ROOTS WERE MOST LIKELY IN THE BURBS

2017-03-07 12:34:28 UTC

VARG, EMPEROR, ILDJARN = BACKGROUNDS OF SOME STATUS, BY MY ESTIMATE

2017-03-07 12:35:39 UTC

most great men (genius, rather than say, valour or nobility) come from the middle class

2017-03-07 12:35:45 UTC

it's where you expect an artistic movement to come from

2017-03-07 12:38:51 UTC

everything today is middle class

2017-03-07 12:39:06 UTC

or more precisely, mediocre

2017-03-07 12:39:45 UTC

"the class" today is hardly measured, in the sense we are speaking of, by net worth

2017-03-07 12:40:02 UTC

sure, net worth is indicator of higher social status, but not necessarily class in traditional sense

2017-03-07 12:40:15 UTC

since people who rule today are middle class people par excellence

2017-03-07 12:40:27 UTC

it's their spiritual background and their upbringing

2017-03-07 12:41:33 UTC

everything today is concieved in middle class environment, and drifting away from it demands a certain "leap of faith'

2017-03-07 12:43:06 UTC

quite right

2017-03-07 12:43:20 UTC

most of the people who you refer to as an example of "elevated" middle class people, are in fact people who had experience at one moment or another, a sudden and unexpected illumination of a sort

2017-03-07 12:43:35 UTC

after which they couldn't take middle class society seriously, without bursting into laughter

2017-03-07 12:43:49 UTC

I don't mean middle class as a mentality

2017-03-07 12:44:01 UTC

there is the working class, the elites/rulers/nobles/theocrats

2017-03-07 12:44:04 UTC

and everything in between

2017-03-07 12:44:22 UTC

the in betweeners are the engine of nearly all innovation

2017-03-07 12:44:31 UTC

mentalities change

2017-03-07 12:44:38 UTC

what we pejoratively call "middle class" was not always so

2017-03-07 12:44:45 UTC

though this in between caste was

2017-03-07 12:44:53 UTC

working class people today are a demographic who most staunchly atempts to emulate middle class life and norms

2017-03-07 12:45:02 UTC

sure, that's how they all work

2017-03-07 12:45:14 UTC

the working class aspires to the middle class, the middle class aspires to the top

2017-03-07 12:45:26 UTC

they usually stumble through the act, embarass themselves, but still "succeed" due to their eagerness to conform

2017-03-07 12:45:29 UTC

the middle class can mobilize the working class against elites
