where on the one hand people value and think in terms of ideals and values

but in unconscious terms

and on the other hand they ignore them or cannot justify them or do not perceive them in their own consciousness

its difficult for me to clearly express because it really is doublethink, a juxtaposition of opposing/paradoxical ideas
