a coworker was talking about the cruise he went on, how huge the ship was

he didn't even get off the boat at the stops because "they'd already been to those places"

so he just loafed around eating and getting too drunk to remember things

his favorite spot on the boat was the place where he could just lie in the partially-screened sun, safeley behind wind blockers so that the wind wouldn't bother him

such a horrifyingly pointless existence: work most of the week, then go on some obscenely wasteful boat to lie down
