awesome
"Who were the original inhabitants of Britain, whether they were indigenous or foreign, is, as usual among barbarians, little known. Their physical characteristics are various, and from these conclusions may be drawn. The red hair and large limbs of the inhabitants of Caledonia point clearly to a German origin. The dark complexion of the Silures, their usually curly hair, and the fact that Spain is the opposite shore to them, are an evidence that Iberians of a former date crossed over and occupied these parts. Those who are nearest to the Gauls are also like them, either from the permanent influence of original descent, or, because in countries which run out so far to meet each other, climate has produced similar physical qualities."
We wuz.not kangs
HELL NAW NIGGA ITZ DA WHITE SCIENCE MAN PUTTIN US DOWN WE WUZ KANGZ N SHIET
did BJJ with a buddy last night. or rather he taught me stuff while kicking my ass
I'm just getting into that martial art, it's been a lot of fun so far.
join a gym
it's worth it
yeah I see that
it's clear that it just takes practice and attention to detail
so there's no way around getting into it in a gym somewhere
I've done other martial arts in the past and when I started I was really suprised how far the gorund game has evolved
It's a pretty diverse crowd - i'd love to see more europeans in class. ehh
i did muay thai/BJJ
very good
Muay Thai, i think it's an excellent striking art. A friend was able to show me some really good refinments for my kicks and hook punch recently - really efficient.
I don't like muay thai
thats true, something more like yoshokin karate or TKD for ya?
xingyi
but yeah things in that direction
I like straight, hard moves with bodyweight behind them
damn man, thats obscure but nice choice
every play DoA? Gen Fu mah nigga
long time ago, maybe when its was DoA 2 or somthing
realistically my striking background is xingyi and kuntao silat, but I did a significant stint of boxing and MMA to add realism
but I need to BJJ and I need it yesterday
I'm really impressed how much sensitivity and skill they can use from literally any angle
and also how tough their bodies become in general
very cool, for me its some old school TKD, bit of karate, some soft chinese stuff too. my ground game is really weak right now. thats how i felt to, very impressed by what i've seen so far.
TKD conditioning and foot speed is really impressive
sometimes I just watch recordings of random TKD classes just to watch their conditioning and drilling and look for ideas
They really have some of the kicking stuff down. I love the variety of round house kicks. I started there but have definitely had to supliment the footwork and aim a lot lower to make it work for me though.
I have this weird thing where I cannot land a round move on anyone
so I just quit trying and mostly only do straight moves now
one of the things I'd be interested in from either MT or TKD would be if they could teach me to land those on resisting opponents
Maybe your telegraphing? Some dudes ive seen had a lot of sucess with bringing their leg straight up then turning it over... like that great holly holm KO recently. Anyway tho, i'm a big believer in focusing a few moves that work for the individual.
yeah if it works why mess with it? lawl
