I had a lawyer all geared up to rip them apart, but an hour before my name was supposed to be called for my hearing, they had a witness magically appear.

We had dashcam footage, police cruiser footage, bodycam footage. All in my favor.

But they had a witness last second

Deck was stacked against me

Of course it is, do not trust your defense lawyer

No matter what the footage showed. They still said the witness had no reason to lie.

And I got the charge

I want to push it to trial. Not sure if I need a new lawyer or not, but my lawyer was pretty passionate about ripping them up. He was a fellow veteran. But when they came back with the witness statement, he looked so defeated and told me no matter what we do, they'll take the side of the witness and a trial might force the jail time on me. Even if I took the stand.

And obstruction because I got defensive and told him to fuck off and stop him from grabbing me. He took his baton out and came at me with it when I backed up.

Luckily, I got the obstruction dismissed
