In the perfect world everyone would be their own overlord, living happily with their own assault rifles, hunting, having a jolly old time. But actually we live in a world where people can't be trusted, so if it means sacrificing my freedom to bear arms in the hope that potentially dangerous people will be deprived of the same right, then so bee it.

@🍄The Mad Philosopher🍄 Say we got rid of the police, yes jail numbers would go down, private prison corporations would make a loss, prison and police and psychiatric jobs would be lost, a lot fewer people would be shot or arrested on rediculous charges, but then a small number of highly skilled criminals would get away with their crimes as a result. Meanwhile the large criminal corporations who have paid off the government(s) to legalize their immorral crimes would still continue to get away with things paying for private security instead of the police to protect them against angry customers.
