The Earth is spherical.
It's about perspective.
If you look at a Sphere from the top, It appears flat.
There are several, If not many reasons.
Trying not to be biased; Believing in something controversial, Actual or literal belief in the subject, Or lying.
Of course, That's not even all, So, Yeah.
Circle..?
You mean Sphere, My man?
@Rudi What I'm seeing is a bunch of math that appears to try and confuse the person seeing it so they have no argument.
Doesn't match up with reality how, Exactly?
Of course the Earth isn't a perfect Sphere, The same way the shape of a human's head isn't a perfect skull! Let me remind you the Sphere is the most energy efficient shape.
Gravity on a plane?
Okay, Wait. What?
@Derek Nelson I think what they were saying is how that low you can't see the curve, So perspective wise It is flat, Though there *is* a curve.
So are you a troll too, Lad?
Pressure Differences be like that, Though.
Tanker Crushers.
Yes.. How..?
Say that with proof, Please.
All of Physics. One, A Sphere is the most energy efficient Shape.
No, A Tanker crushes because of extreme pressure differences that are in a forced situation.
It's not subtle.
There isn't pressure in space, Right.
What causes an implosion? An instant difference on 9 to 1 atmospheres.
Look up 'Decompression Accident.'
People have died because of the instant change in pressure, Causing them to effectively implode/explode. It's actually gruesome so, I wouldn't.
Mind you the ISS isn't constantly changing from high to low pressure vice versa in an instant.
Think of it as having a submarine deep underwater. Do you too, Also deny the existence of submarines?
Can you.. Show me this, Please?
What do you mean he just 'dropped a screw'?
Are you also insisting there's Gravity in outer space?
Inertia and both friction. Since there's no Gravity in space, Say, In an inertial frame, I tugged on a rough object (I.E screw), Without actually grasping it friction does It's thing and while it barely moves, It will move. Since there's no Gravity in outer space, Inertia will freely do Its thing.
Or, You know, Fall down.
Right? So.. We stay on the ground how?
Read about General Relativity. Gravity is a thing.
Some guy thinks the Earth is flat, I don't know the full extent.
What about it?
You just said some words. What about them?
**Magnetism?**
You realize aether is medieval science?
Lol what
Where did you even get this picture?
Did you get it off of facebook, My man?
Notice the small black lines underneath the red lines.
The Earth is literally ginormous.
Also, Even if It's true or not, Saying Hubble looks like that doesn't disprove anything as far as I know.
Okay that's just a meme lmao,
My man appears to have some cannabis on him.
@Seeker of Truth Wait, So these google image photos made by Flat Earthers are supposed to change mine, Or everybody else's minds?
Are you just going to keep posting the same google searched images to disprove me now..?
Nasa is government funded.
Could you post it again, Please?
Bill Nye is a popular Science figure. That doesn't make him an actual Scientist, Now does it?
Mind you, A rocket going at that velocity would probably be at least a little obliterated. Do not, That it is not. @April Mind you, The escape velocity of Earth is 11.2 km/s, (The speed needed to escape Earth's Gravitational Pull), About 33 times the speed of sound. Or just, 33 times faster than Mach 1. Do you think something going that fast would just, Stop abruptly and remain okay?
@Seeker of Truth He hasn't even colonized Mars yet, But okay.
Not saying he will, Either.
The same can be said from my side. 'don't tell me you believe that load of BS'.
Where do I even get my roles, What?
Yeah.
I pinged you about it.
Go look.
With proof..?
Don't tell me you think that something over Mach 1 will remain intact when it comes in contact of a solid object?
If It's water and it covers little surface area, Even then, Why didn't it go through?
Before you say 'Water is incompressible', Then it shouldn't still taken damage, And since it didn't, It should've just gone through.
But according to the video, It abruptly stops and makes a 'sfx'.
Of course, That doesn't mean It's true.
Or, Again, MACH 1 ON SOLID/WATER WOULD NOT KEEP AN INTACT OBJECT.
Yes.
I doubt the video is real, Or at least, How the person who posted the video portrays it.
Essentially, Yes. Or maybe It's not, And the person who's portraying it that way is just wrong about the 'Ice' or 'Water'.
Didn't you just say 'edited video'?
The powers of editing go far, Farther than I even thought.
What I think is going on is probably an edit.
Though, Again, It could be something completely different that the poster of the video is portraying as a 'dome'.
Though the part I am most doubtful of is that part.
Yes.
So let's go back again.
Edited, Or portrayed incorrectly.
Do you understand, Now?
No.
In layman's terms, **SOMETHING IS HAPPENING THAT THE POSTER IS NOT EXPLAINING, WHICH I THINK IS SCIENTIFICALLY UNLIKELY.**
Can you not fathom that It's edited?
If I edited a car that just started flying and you said it was edited, I could say, 'Okay, What's happening then?'
What's happening is that **It's Edited.**
Well, Let's look again.
No, I'm saying that there's 2 possible outcomes.
WAIT!
I'm a moron.
Go to 1:25.
Dude, Go to settings, Speed up the video.
It's the same footage that's slowed down with an added sound.
It's so clear.
I can open Audacity and then take out my microphone then hit a screwdriver on the table.
I can then put that sound over the **clearly slowed down footage.**
Dude, Are you saying that It's real?
If you want, I don't have an editing software I don't think, But let me edit a video for you, Okay?
Will that make you feel any better for how easy this should be?
Actually, No. Download that video, Then speed it up. The speed looks the same, Right? Then you can even find a free SFX on Youtube and just add that over the video.
