it falls because of something, yes the object is more dense than the air, that is correct, if it was less dense it would rise to the top of the atmosphere like a helium baloon

just like how a basketball underwater rises to the top of the water

that makes no sense

how can a helium ballon defy your gravity if it makes everything stick to the floor

the same way it makes a basketball rise to the surface of water

the water it being pulled down harder than the basketball
