Actions speak louder than words

2020-01-07 13:38:17 UTC

Argentina also are saying a bunch of shit about the Falklands but they're not going to invade again

2020-01-07 13:38:38 UTC

Not to mention that the President of the US is anti-EU

2020-01-07 23:02:21 UTC

@TheBritishGamer ❤🔑 (Meh) are u anti-trump???

2020-01-08 06:25:54 UTC

I don't like him but I don't think he's the worst

2020-01-08 11:42:56 UTC

@TheBritishGamer ❤🔑 (Meh) Why do English people like yourself disguise yourself under the British umbrella when you are only really interested in England and the English? Spain acknowledges Scotland as a nation and a country and also acknowledges Scotland has the rights of a nation and a country. Not once have Spain ever said they would block Scottish EU membership. The so called Spanish veto is rooted in English delusion. It is correct to say Spain is against Scottish independence from the UK, but it is also correct to say Spain is against English independence from the EU.

2020-01-08 15:20:43 UTC

I'm half Spanish myself so I'm not only talking from the English perspective but from the Spanish one as well (more specifically the perspective of Madrid which is where my mum's family live at the moment)

2020-01-08 17:23:07 UTC

@TheBritishGamer ❤🔑 (Meh) The Spanish perspective is quite clear, Spain is against Scottish independence from the UK and English independence from the EU. But to suggest Spain will veto a Scottish EU application without providing any sources or evidence to back up your claim is, with the deepest respect, an absurdity. Did Spain veto Latvia and Estonia when the Soviet Union dismantled? Did Spain veto the Czech Republic and Slovakia when Czechoslovakia split apart?

2020-01-08 17:31:40 UTC

I mean this Spanish Government is a much more unstable one than either the one under Zapatero, which had 163 seats, compared to Sanchez's 120 seats (or 135 if you include Unidos Podemos along with PSOE). There's also the fact that back in 2004 (which is when those Baltic States joined the EU), the nationalist Vox Party wasn't a political power back then

2020-01-08 17:32:13 UTC

But even if we say that Spain would say yes, we then have to consider Scotland's deficit (which, by itself, is at 7%)

2020-01-08 17:32:41 UTC

I believe the EU limit for any applying country is at 4%

2020-01-08 17:33:43 UTC

Correction, the limit for applying countries is 3%

2020-01-08 17:37:10 UTC

Andrew Neil also states Scotland's high deficit number when interviewing SNP members constantly

2020-01-08 17:38:29 UTC

But it will be interesting to see the results of the Scottish elections as rhe SNP have never gained over 50% of the results (due to the electoral system they have)

2020-01-08 17:38:48 UTC

I think they have over 40% of the Scottish Parliament

2020-01-08 17:39:38 UTC

62/129 which is close to 50%

2020-01-08 17:39:55 UTC

Yep, 48%

2020-01-08 17:45:47 UTC

@TheBritishGamer ❤🔑 (Meh) Scotland does not have full fiscal autonomy, therefore, it does not have a deficit. The UK Government refused to devolve it in 2015, so I think we can easily say Scotland is in a surplus. The figures relating to the Scottish economy is provided to the Scottish Government by the UK Government. I ask you, why do they refuse to implement full fiscal automony in Scotland?

2020-01-08 17:48:15 UTC

Btw, a bit off topic but where are you from? Scotland?

2020-01-08 17:50:08 UTC

@TheBritishGamer ❤🔑 (Meh) I am from Scotland but I am against Scottish independence.

2020-01-08 17:50:15 UTC

Ah

2020-01-08 17:50:35 UTC

If you voted, who did you vote for?

2020-01-08 17:50:53 UTC

Scottish National Party

2020-01-08 17:53:56 UTC

Tactical vote?

2020-01-08 17:54:29 UTC

I believe Scottish independence is a question for the Scots.

2020-01-08 17:54:29 UTC

GG @D7V1D, you just advanced to level 1!

2020-01-08 17:54:39 UTC

Ah

2020-01-08 17:55:01 UTC

Which way do you think people would vote?

2020-01-08 17:57:42 UTC

Nicola Sturgeon visited a number of SNP voters who were against Scottish independence during the campaign.

2020-01-08 17:58:27 UTC

Honestly, it makes me a bit happy to see Swinson lose her seat

2020-01-08 18:02:42 UTC

@TheBritishGamer ❤🔑 (Meh) I think Scotland will vote for independence in the second referendum. The Conservatives will not be able to use the EU to win this time. I would like a Federal UK but if Boris Johnson refuses to allow Scottish representatives at the upcoming EU trade negotiations. It will be hard for me to vote against independence.

2020-01-08 18:04:49 UTC

Honestly, Momentum have blood on their hands

2020-01-08 18:05:43 UTC

Their castration of the Labour Party has left behind a useless opposition that has only opened the doors for the Conservative Party to do whatever they want

2020-01-08 19:43:20 UTC

Tbh, so many Brits just give up and move to Canada, Australia and NZ. I expect a big exodus post-Brexit.

2020-01-08 19:44:32 UTC

It isn't just due to Brexit either, as this trend has been around for a while now.

2020-01-08 19:46:59 UTC

Boris won as Labour was more crazy yep. But the UK govt whatever the party has lost faith of the public on many issues, including the economy.

2020-01-08 19:57:54 UTC

Labour need to tread very lightly

2020-01-08 19:58:15 UTC

When the guy that makes the most sense in your party in Tony fucking Blair, you need to take a good look at yourself

2020-01-09 06:52:59 UTC

Imagine feeling sympathy for a rich Hollywood star turned taxpayer-funded Princess
