We hardly know what should even be considered normal

2019-10-10 03:10:11 UTC

Based on our observations, the climate is not effected by things like CO2 in the ways previously theorized though

2019-10-10 03:10:58 UTC

Infact, we have good reason to believe that human activity only marginally effects atmospheric CO2 concentration

2019-10-10 03:11:08 UTC

it's not even the main contributor

2019-10-10 03:11:19 UTC

things like volcanos put more into the atmosphere than all of mankind

2019-10-10 03:11:49 UTC

a lot of people say its CO2 because of graphs and stuff, but having 4 feet of snow, especially in the summer in the US, there has to be something that contributes to this

2019-10-10 03:12:07 UTC

i agree with you on skepticism on CO2

2019-10-10 03:12:30 UTC

we still have a primitive understanding of how weather even works

2019-10-10 03:17:31 UTC

we're good at forecasting weather in the short run though

2019-10-10 03:20:20 UTC

Not that good. We look at weather and try to guess what it will do based on how weather patterns have acted in the past.

2019-10-10 03:20:52 UTC

But it is often unpredictable. We only predict part of what it does if anything.

2019-10-10 03:21:04 UTC

^ thats what i meant

2019-10-10 03:23:07 UTC

hurricane dorian was a good example of this

2019-10-10 03:24:32 UTC

because of how difficult it was to track down dorian's path

2019-10-10 03:28:25 UTC

Computer simulations are actually pretty accurate at predicting the weather, considering how many variables there are.

2019-10-10 03:28:58 UTC

They have state of the art supercomputers crunching numbers.

2019-10-10 03:30:29 UTC

There isn't really some guy sitting there looking at pictures of clouds, guessing at what might happen next lol

2019-10-10 03:31:41 UTC

Unless you're the president - then just pull out a sharpie and do whatever you want to troll the American people.

2019-10-10 13:09:11 UTC

GG @babyfriend1, you just advanced to level 5!

2019-10-11 03:09:23 UTC

Yep, evidence of climate change is all around us

2019-10-11 15:27:27 UTC

Yea the climate changing is definetly somthing we need to stop lol.

2019-10-11 15:37:22 UTC

>ancap

2019-10-11 15:54:36 UTC

@!GoldenKingship! lets just stop the earth

2019-10-11 15:54:38 UTC

am i right

2019-10-11 15:55:54 UTC

Yea lets increase the earths orbit so it can cool down lol

2019-10-11 16:15:45 UTC

*Lets take ice from comets and transfer them to the north pole*

2019-10-11 17:44:27 UTC

So we all agree that the earth ending in 12 years is not something we should be worried about because no evidence backs up the argument.

2019-10-11 17:48:46 UTC

I don't think anyone in the scientific community believes that the Earth will end in 12 years due to climate change

2019-10-11 17:50:13 UTC

BUT THE NEWS SAID SO

2019-10-11 17:51:23 UTC

*Da mainstream fako newso is boughto by da deepo stato*

2019-10-11 17:54:40 UTC

according to the new UN report

2019-10-11 17:55:06 UTC

millions of people will die, be forced into poverty, and lose jobs due to climate change

2019-10-11 17:55:26 UTC

there is nothing you can say or do about this, even if all of us, and i mean ALL of us, started to go green

2019-10-11 17:55:29 UTC

it's too late

2019-10-11 17:55:48 UTC

basically

2019-10-11 17:56:11 UTC

we had a shot, to prevent this, we just so happened to treat climate change as another typical debate

2019-10-11 17:56:18 UTC

even though it was way more than that

2019-10-11 18:41:06 UTC

Well the problem is it's debatable how much of the problems we have right now are being caused or exacerbated by climate change and to what extent

2019-10-11 18:43:45 UTC

Like for example you could argue that global warming has already depleted some resources and created scarcities that will incite conflicts but you can't prove exactly how much better it would be without that
