The point is he wont "gut out" any particular welfare system

You're in-elligeble for any welfare except disabillity once you accept the dividend

And sure there are going to be some people who currently get more than $1000 but the vast majority don't

And the main point of this isn't necessarily to help people on benefits

Its to help people trapped in low income and exploitative work

Or to help people who do unpaid work like Being a house husband/wife

And to pump money back into the economy to help revitalize consumerism

Or to give people a safety net to fall back on if they find themselves in unexpected circumstances

This is in some ways a benefits scheme but its not only about helping the people who are currently on benefits its about improving everyone's life

So remove welfare cliffs

Not give everybody $1000/month

People trapped in low income are stuck on welfare cliffs

Where the place theyre living in is higher than what theyre making

They ask their bosses to give them less hours

No pay raises

Just so the government can subsidize their housing costs

The $1000/month is extremely harmful for urbanites

The poor will just overcrowd

You can hardly get people to move out of the urban complexes onto the rural towns despite how cheap housing is along with plentiful of jobs

We do not live in a society where the economy has no profit-margins

ISPs basically live on profit-margins
