I'm outta here

2019-09-29 22:49:55 UTC

Lol the wall is such a stupid waste of money

2019-09-29 22:49:58 UTC

I can't believe it

2019-09-29 22:50:22 UTC

It's going to do almost nothing to curb illegal immigrants

2019-09-29 22:50:24 UTC

And that's a fact

2019-09-29 22:50:27 UTC

@Cobra Commander certainly. But he did ask them to investigate Biden.

2019-09-29 22:50:34 UTC

Which would be illegal in this case.

2019-09-29 22:50:42 UTC

Considering he is a political opponent.

2019-09-29 22:57:16 UTC

If it triggers you, it's money well spent

2019-09-29 23:06:46 UTC

Just like the affordable healthcare act

2019-09-29 23:33:00 UTC

If he asked zelenskey to investigate Biden to win the 2020 election then yes that would be a problem, but he didn't actually do that, he asked him to look into the crowdstrike situation. Investigating corruption in another country that may involve Joe Biden isn't the same as investigating Biden solely to knock out an opponent, it's a matter of intent. And also there isn't anything that's illegal about that that I know of even if that was his intent (surprisingly), it's occured before.

2019-09-29 23:37:04 UTC

It can be considered questionable timing, yeah, but you can't peg this as a crime considering what we know of the situation (so far)

2019-09-30 01:01:01 UTC
2019-09-30 01:05:25 UTC

First of all, trump didn’t mention crowdstrike, he only mentioned Biden

2019-09-30 01:05:45 UTC

The crowdstrike thing is totally fabricated too, but that’s a different thing

2019-09-30 01:07:20 UTC

Asking a foreign government to investigate your political rival’s family is illegal.

2019-09-30 01:07:44 UTC

Yes he did mention crowdstrike, read the transcript.

2019-09-30 01:07:49 UTC

Doing it as part of an explicit quid pro quo is SUPER illegal

2019-09-30 01:07:55 UTC

Quote it. And it wasn’t a transcript

2019-09-30 01:08:36 UTC

"I would like you to do us a favor though because our country has been through a lot and Ukraine knows a lot about it. I would like you to find out what happened with this whole situation with Ukraine, they say Crowdstrike... "

2019-09-30 01:09:38 UTC

Also there was no promise of something in return, so it literally is not an explicit quid pro quo.

2019-09-30 01:09:46 UTC

My mistake, he did mention crowdstrike. He also specifically mentions Biden

2019-09-30 01:10:15 UTC

Yeah. Once, for both Joe and hunter, in the second half of a single paragraph

2019-09-30 01:10:24 UTC

The Ukrainian President asks for aid, and trump says “ I would like a favor though”

2019-09-30 01:10:38 UTC

That is an explicit quid pro quo

2019-09-30 01:12:15 UTC

You’ve got to squint till your eyes are closed to see it any other way

2019-09-30 01:12:44 UTC

No, because it's not treated as being a conditional of aid. Nor did Trump make it out to be this way, and the Ukrainian president didint eem this to be threatening on any way

2019-09-30 01:12:53 UTC

It is explicitly conditional.

2019-09-30 01:13:01 UTC

It literally is not.

2019-09-30 01:13:40 UTC

“I would like you to do us a favor though”

2019-09-30 01:13:45 UTC

Literally a quid pro quo

2019-09-30 01:13:51 UTC

Yeah that's not conditional.

2019-09-30 01:13:59 UTC

What

2019-09-30 01:13:59 UTC

That is 100% conditional

2019-09-30 01:14:05 UTC

What are you talking about.

2019-09-30 01:14:10 UTC

That’s what that means

2019-09-30 01:14:25 UTC

He literally asked "if you could look into it" after talking about Biden.

2019-09-30 01:15:07 UTC

“Can I have a have a coffee “yes I would like $2 though”

2019-09-30 01:15:15 UTC

That is how a quid pro quo works

Did you see Chris Christie? Where he was like “it would only be a quid pro quo if trump uses the word favor or somethomg”
