2019-10-09 14:55:56 UTC

They’re just as corrupt as any republican, they engage in the same behavior

2019-10-09 14:56:00 UTC

But you just were

2019-10-09 14:56:02 UTC

2019-10-09 14:56:03 UTC

No, that’s simply not true

2019-10-09 14:56:13 UTC

When it comes to limiting the franchise, that is a republican behavior

2019-10-09 14:56:19 UTC

*Imagine calling a nazi a nazi to offend them*

2019-10-09 14:56:26 UTC

And if you look at the top contributors to money in politics

2019-10-09 14:56:37 UTC

The republicans are the ones advancing their interests

2019-10-09 14:56:44 UTC

So is it a problem on both sides? Yes

2019-10-09 14:56:58 UTC

Is it an *equal* problem? Not even close

2019-10-09 14:57:06 UTC

2019-10-09 14:57:43 UTC

Accurate

2019-10-09 14:58:23 UTC

Its okay you degenerates and the people you follow will meet the rope god willing

2019-10-09 14:58:42 UTC

Yeah Republicans are more likely to take corporate money and do it on a larger scale, but Democrats aren’t ideologically or fundamentally opposed to capital. Their plan is, as it’s always been, is to minimize the destructive consequences of capitalism to maintain it into the future. Like FDR said his greatest accomplishment was saving capitlaism, and Democrats are just as invested in this maintenance of a corporate status quo

2019-10-09 14:59:08 UTC

@TheNobody Is it cool if someone just threatens violence in this server?

2019-10-09 14:59:13 UTC

...right, but if we’re outside of a fun fantasy land

2019-10-09 14:59:35 UTC

The fun fantasyland of actual opposition to capitlaism?

2019-10-09 15:01:27 UTC

I think that’s an unrealistic view of the way politics works in general

2019-10-09 15:01:44 UTC

“The plan is, as it has always been”

2019-10-09 15:02:04 UTC

Suggests some sort of cabal running things

2019-10-09 15:02:36 UTC

The parties aren’t just shadowy organizations, they’re dynamic blocs

2019-10-09 15:04:58 UTC

Yeah sure it’s not some organized and conscious effort, as much as it’s just a consequence of the political trajectory of liberalism. It’s the result of the political framework they’ve put themselves in. They’re wholly incapable of challenging the fundamental assumptions of capitalism, and as a result they seek its maintenance necessarily.

2019-10-09 15:05:04 UTC
2019-10-09 15:05:33 UTC

Then can you do something about Rockwell suggesting we get hung? @TheNobody

2019-10-09 15:05:34 UTC

I don’t think that’s accurate

2019-10-09 15:05:45 UTC

I mean look at Warren and Sanders

2019-10-09 15:05:53 UTC

You don’t think they are a positive step?

2019-10-09 15:06:12 UTC

Or are you just an anti-incrementalism so you think we should burn it all down

2019-10-09 15:06:17 UTC
2019-10-09 15:08:39 UTC

I think it’s a positive step, and ideally one of them becomes the Democratic Candidate, but they’re not suggesting fundamental changes, just compromises, and when the UN scientist are telling us even if we were to meet our current emissions reduction goals (which we aren’t), we’re going to have catastrophic changes to our food production output, an answer outside of compromise is necessary

2019-10-09 15:09:36 UTC

Yes, I agree with most of that, what kind of fundamental changes do you think are necessary?
