The Holy Grail

Right and the book club is on a plane and then we fly them to Iran and drop them off there Iran will blow up and be super annoyed at the same time
GG @Tbs_Trent, you just advanced to level 2!
Yes
I have a question for everyone who hates Trump: Do you like the idea of socialism? Tag with your answer
I like trump so
```US military is now regarded as a terrorist organization in Iran
```
The correct meme for that situation
I like the giant meteor so...
@Yusa Social Democracy
@Puerto Rican Nelson What do you mean by that?
Who wants to lick my cheeks
@Yusa Strong social safety net and public projects with firm taxation and regulation of the elite. All over western europe.
@Puerto Rican Nelson Alright, let’s begin with the “Strong social safety net”. Just to be clear that we are on the same page, what do you mean by that?
Medicare for all, strong funding of schooling, with some if not all secondary education govt funded, strong unions (vastly revamped in the US), maybe UBI.
Where do I lack control there?
Life isn't a movie. People in certain socioeconomic circumstances can be reliably predicted to have the same quality of life, be it addiction, poverty, lack of education. There can be outliers for social mobility, but as you're born you tend to be tethered to the environment you land it.
This is to be allieviated, or ignored as the US currently does for the benifit of the elite.
Do you know how impossible that is to fund this? You would basically have to be slaves to the government in order to accomplish this.
public college is 'control over your life'
@Tbs_Trent mE
That ideology never works. I’m not just talking about in movies. I’m talking about real historical events
not at all, it's just fiscal policy. gov has to run deficits, this is one o the smartest ways to do it
@Yusa Europe doesn't struggle, at all.
it's how we operate already, we just spend the money on different things than a country that invests more on people
Oh, Europe is doing this?
only limit to gov spending is inflation and the exchange rate
the inflation part we control with taxation and how we invest it, productivity, not asset bubbles
exchange rate we dont care about because we have the world reserve currency
@Yusa Yes. France, England, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, and more, all of them do social democracy in some capacity, and you can find elements all across the globe.
spending comes first, then taxation. we are a monetary sovereign in a fiat system
we also run a trade deficit because we have the world reserve currency, 'twin deficits', it's a feature of the system. but even non reserve currency states SHOULD act similar
sweden is broken because they tryt o run surpluses, so they have massive private debt
Have you heard of the core of economics? The whole thing that drives it all is everyone’s unlimited wants and limited resources.
If you give everyone an equal portion, they won’t try to improve.
