It's important to realize that, and be realistic - yes, the narrative that all German people suddenly became rabid monsters isn't right. And history is written by the victors and all that. But like I said, the "skepticism" about some of the details is healthy, but depending on the context and frequency at which you interject it - definitely has the effect of painting you in a certain light.
