Goes without saying, and there is no harm at all in also accounting for other *possible* routes of infection. Especially now that cases are increasing in the US. You agreed just earlier that these precautions should be taken anyways.

One should follow CDC and WHO guidelines, and not follow ideas of technically possible but unlikely transmission methods.
Nobody here is arguing that guidelines shouldn't be followed. But not accounting for other methods of transmission, especially in heavily affected areas, does not help at all and drawing the blanket conclusion of "don't worry about droplets/aerosols" is literally misinformation. We already know that droplet infections have occurred, we already know that aerosol infections are at least likely, and we already know the efficiency of N85 masks here are mixed at best (why the CDC has relegated their use for those already showing symptoms). Absolutely no reason to not take these precautions at all, it can literally only help.
Besides, if a virus is spread through droplets and/or aerosols it automatically requires level 4 BSL equipment to deal with.
