I find that to be a absolute waste

I don’t see why the long run will somehow change, old fence continues to be more effective than nothing decades after.

This wall on the other hand is a massive upgrade - especially to areas that weren’t covered.

And it’s already providing a massive help to officials in the border, those numbers is testament to that.

Then the people realize they can take a few steps to the side and walk between the miles of holes in. The fences

And then when the holes are patched they start paying **cartels, who actually are bad**, to get into the country

The boarder wall atm has miles across miles of nothing there

The wall is supposed to be 1500 when completed

That or the tattered remains of some chain link dense

Right now it’s 170 miles with 760 in construction. By the time it’s all done, there won’t be any holes - apart from natural barriers.

If you want a “hole” you need to walk dozens of miles.

And then they’re just all funneling in through dull multiple areas

And if you try to utterly block the boarder? Then you’re making the ACTUAL ISSUE worse

From smuggling people in

Dude if the wall stops 90% of migrants with a trade off - cartels get money

So be it.

And the wall would also stop cartel operations but were ignoring that for sake of argument (it has).

Then that 90% drops to 20-10% in a few months

It hasn’t in areas with old fencing

After it turns out everyone will have to pay

Most migrants can’t afford that.

They will alright

May take them months longer to cross

But they will work for the money

Ah yes I forgot Mexican migrants are growing with money

They are determined to get a better life

Every one has a plan until they’re punched in the face.
