GG @KrickBatKid, you just advanced to level 4!

2019-05-23 01:24:45 UTC

islam is not a peaceful religion who agrees?

2019-05-23 01:25:12 UTC

Any belief system can be interpreted by people who practice it peacefully.

Random thought that I just have to post somewhere: There is no such thing as the idea of being a genius in my opinion. It is only a matter of being inspired, well read, articulate, problem solving and uniquely trained thoughts with a sense of strong intuition behind every action taken decided by a person.

GG @borealice, you just advanced to level 2!

@beyond_gravity I sure hope it does come back. It almost feels like the understanding of virtues are getting hazier and hazier by the second, though that's only through what I see based on the horrible things that the news usually airs- wars, killing, poverty. I may of course be scratching the surface to the reality of the truth that exist in this world.

@Children.Deserve.Cancer.REBORN 'Any belief system can be interpreted by people who practice it peacefully.'

I do believe that the problem when it comes to beliefs is the part where there is lack of understanding the philosophies behind them. Same goes for ideologies. The problem lies in the inability of an individual to be able to grasp the understanding behind each intended ideology. The challenge for an individual who reads at this time of age is knowing the context of an exposition/ideology when it was created/thought of in a different Era.

Do excuse me for my lack of vocabulary in the attempt to voice out my opinion. I'm just putting it out there.

2019-05-25 14:38:29 UTC

@borealice very insightful response, are you new here?

2019-05-25 17:57:50 UTC

You see it as a flaw, I see it as the whole basis for the concept itself.

2019-05-25 19:39:53 UTC

@beyond_gravity I've actually been here for a few months but I haven't really said anything in chat since I couldn't keep up with the topics that are being discussed. I'm fairly weak in debating and I'm the kind to read/observe from the side line to learn new ideas and views from people. I've yet to learn about a lot of things in this world especially relating to events that puts people's lives at stake.

And thank you, that's really the first time anyone has said that to me. I've been trying to learn how to express myself better through reading and at times writing lately in order to be less misunderstood.

2019-05-25 19:40:40 UTC

Woah dope

2019-05-25 19:42:25 UTC

@Children.Deserve.Cancer.REBORN basis for the concept? Do you mind enlightening me what you mean by 'basis'?

2019-05-25 19:47:42 UTC

you havent been reading too long then

2019-05-25 20:09:47 UTC

I do?

2019-05-25 20:09:51 UTC

Interesting

2019-05-26 01:38:31 UTC

@Techpriest oh. I thought he knew what he was saying and maybe able to enlighten me in some manner. Oh well, I guess I can see his words like a puzzle that maybe someday I'll be able to figure out

2019-05-26 04:59:48 UTC

A genius is simply someone with a higher IQ. He can grasp complex concepts easily and faster than others.

2019-05-26 05:01:47 UTC

A genius is not "trained". IQ is inherited but can be negatively affected by the environment.

2019-05-26 05:05:07 UTC

IQ is pseudoscience

2019-05-26 05:51:39 UTC

I beg to differ. Assuming your first source of information is Wikipedia, it specifically mention that there are people with low IQ who has achieved Noble Prices, thus making the claim that geniuses (intellegence) can be measured by IQ tests false. Until today, the idea of what the standards are for what is considered a 'genius' is still very vague or whether it is even a concept that explains man's intelligence is still debated until today. In essence, It's really a matter of philosophizing what 'intellegence' really is and what standards that are valid to be attributed to it. @lemonsaw

2019-05-26 15:29:43 UTC

@borealice If there are people with low IQ who have won nobel prices which require high intelligence (not a bullshit one like peace), you would change my mind. I would point out that IQ is one of the largest predictor of life succcess. It's definitely useful and not a pseudoscience.

2019-05-26 15:39:09 UTC

I would like to see a source, Im not finding anything online

2019-05-27 05:04:00 UTC

some people think atheism is somehow more intelligent because they attempt to construct it as a negative assertion - something they don't need to substantiate

2019-05-27 05:04:01 UTC

GG @Row, you just advanced to level 1!

2019-05-27 05:04:34 UTC

in reality, religion and lack thereof are all asserting positive claims that need to be backed up

2019-05-27 05:37:57 UTC

better question

2019-05-27 05:38:04 UTC

just add religion and science into one

2019-05-27 05:38:17 UTC

Assume the belief in the Big Bang Theory and God

2019-05-27 05:38:21 UTC

nothing wrong with assuming both

2019-05-27 05:38:26 UTC

but devastating in assuming only one

2019-05-27 05:48:31 UTC

@lemonsaw I'll get back to you soon yeah? Need some stuff to settle today. I'll give you the source and have you look at it when I'm done with today

2019-05-27 05:50:04 UTC

@Techpriest agreed, for me personally I think both is related and go hand in hand

2019-05-27 11:43:31 UTC

I believe in God but also evolution and the big bang.
