They kinda do celebrate and say things like they're glad they're in a better place

They're just sad and will miss them

Speaking personally from having attended a plethora of religious ceremonies including funerals

I believe that you go to a place where you re-live your life, then you start a new one once everyone who knows you died

re-living your life like a movie where you are in spectator mode

We celebrated all the christian and Jewish holidays

but we don't really think of the christian holidays as christian that much, we think of it more as paganism
