Where are you getting this 'humans can't know something absolute'
From what philosophy?
@Gerry Why is the atheist stance based on faith?
If you firmly believe that no god exists you have faith in the fact that god does not exist
Because he has not been proven to exist
Nor has his existence been disproven
@Gerry If we go by empiricial observation, we can deduct that God does not exist. If we go from various arguments such as, logical PoE, divine hiddeness, no arguments argument, etc then we can also conclude the same thing.
But can you prove that he does not exist?
Thats like saying there are giant marshmellows that fly around the milky way naked
Can you prove that isnt true?
@Gerry Yes, from those arguments.
I mean strictly speaking
The Bible says that god is everything and nothing
@Gerry Yes. If p, then not p. Failure of arguments for a necessary being show otherwise.
But it’s a paradox
What verse?
And what version?
Oof I’m going to have to go through a lot of bible verses
But it’s not in one verse
It's not a paradox to not believe something without evidence lmao
Yeah I'm gonna need more background, because Christians who are also in philosophy wouldn't agree with that.
And using logic to disprove god will be hard because he defies all logic
He is not a logical being
He is something we cannot comprehend
"He defies all logic"

God of Gaps.
I mean sure
Furthermore, I can just use Plantinga's argument.
If God is not bound by the laws of logic, then God succumbs to the simple omnipotence paradox "Can God lift a rock heavier than himself."
Plantinga got around this by saying that omnipotence is doing anything **logically** possible.
So hence we know that God does not defy logic.
The thing is
There is nothing heavier than himself
Or lighter than himself
Hence why he defies logic
He is not bound by logic
But this is really just how I interpreted the Christian god
Also he is a being that the human mind can not comprehend
We are too simple
@Gerry There does not need to be something like that. It is just a question for omnipotence, same thing with can God create a square circle.
