Oh am i?

2019-10-07 23:33:16 UTC

Yeah.

2019-10-07 23:33:18 UTC

Retard.

2019-10-07 23:33:18 UTC

This is by the standard of human moral perfection, Allah doesn’t have a similar moral code. He could lie, steal, and cheat, and it would still be moral actions definitionally. He creates morality and is from where morality is understood. We can not fathom why God might lie unless he reveals why he is lying, and we cannot fully know Gods plan, you need only put faith in the fact that it is a good plan.

2019-10-07 23:33:25 UTC

Are you expressing a reflection of yourself though?

2019-10-07 23:33:48 UTC

Then that morality is arbitrary on God, meaning morals would be subjective.

2019-10-07 23:33:57 UTC

You've bitten the second horn of the Euthyphro dilemma.

2019-10-07 23:33:58 UTC

I think God is fully capable of lying and myth has many examples of him lying intentionally

2019-10-07 23:34:07 UTC

To God his morals are subjective

2019-10-07 23:34:10 UTC

Our morals aren’t

2019-10-07 23:34:12 UTC

Hence you cannot believe in objective moral values.

2019-10-07 23:34:18 UTC

They’re determined according to the will of the supreme being

2019-10-07 23:34:29 UTC

How a supreme being arrives at its own morals, is not something we can understand

2019-10-07 23:34:33 UTC

Lol, there isn't objective moral values and subjective moral values at the same time.

2019-10-07 23:34:46 UTC

Then all of it is subjective in accordance to the opinion of Allah

2019-10-07 23:34:49 UTC

Then you're now falling into skeptical theism.

2019-10-07 23:34:54 UTC

Meaning you cannot now trust God.

2019-10-07 23:35:03 UTC

Since skeptical theism undercuts trust.

2019-10-07 23:35:08 UTC

I cannot trust God in the sense that I fully know Him

2019-10-07 23:35:14 UTC

Which is fine with me

2019-10-07 23:35:17 UTC

You have no choice but to trust God

2019-10-07 23:35:21 UTC

I'll send you a paper on it.

2019-10-07 23:35:31 UTC

Just like a three-year-old has no choice but to trust their parents

2019-10-07 23:35:37 UTC

I don’t see the inherent problem in not being able to know God’s motives fully

2019-10-07 23:35:58 UTC

> I cannot trust God in the sense that I fully know Him

Well no, you cannot trust God at all since you do not have sufficient knowledge to understand God's actions.

2019-10-07 23:36:08 UTC

No one does

2019-10-07 23:36:16 UTC

What’s wrong with that?

2019-10-07 23:36:29 UTC

Of course you have the choice but what you don't have the choice of is going to heaven. Your actions are what dictate whether you are accepted into the so called "Afterlife"

2019-10-07 23:36:34 UTC

Do you really think you're capable there's a finite being of understanding God... Unless he tells you. and even then it's going to be within a very narrow for any more of your ability to understand

2019-10-07 23:36:51 UTC

Undercutting trust with God now undercuts faith and belief.

2019-10-07 23:37:15 UTC

@pennypal god of gaps fallacy

2019-10-07 23:37:24 UTC

@fuck12moredeadcops Read the paper I linked.

2019-10-07 23:38:05 UTC

What is God of the gaps about what I said

2019-10-07 23:38:36 UTC

> Do you really think there's a finite being capable of understanding God

2019-10-07 23:38:54 UTC

Thats not God of gaps... it's logic

2019-10-07 23:39:04 UTC

It does not entail the existence of God, your argument is fallacious and falls.

2019-10-07 23:39:15 UTC

Please tell me how it's "logic."

2019-10-07 23:39:21 UTC

I thought we were assuming God

2019-10-07 23:39:38 UTC

One of the ashiest 10 commandments is "Thou shalt not believe in anything that cannot be proven"

2019-10-07 23:39:42 UTC

If god exists then why doesn't he make himself exist?
