your point is irrelevant

2020-02-14 05:17:14 UTC

I think that child mortality can screw off

2020-02-14 05:17:15 UTC

because that would be addressed too

2020-02-14 05:17:26 UTC

you assume that we have to go one issue at a time

2020-02-14 05:17:41 UTC

it's a bad mindset

2020-02-14 05:17:58 UTC

ok what is the point of your username

2020-02-14 05:18:03 UTC

whats the purpose *

2020-02-14 05:18:28 UTC

I sound like an accusatory asshole, Im just asking about its origins lol

2020-02-14 05:18:51 UTC

it's a reference to a video, but that's diverting the conversation

2020-02-14 05:19:03 UTC

Darn, you got me!!

2020-02-14 05:20:32 UTC

Was just wondering cause Im somewhat of a runner myself and was wondering if it was meme or something other

2020-02-14 05:20:33 UTC

2020-02-14 05:20:58 UTC

🏃‍♂️

2020-02-14 05:21:57 UTC

^ Me, diverting the conversation

2020-02-14 05:22:07 UTC

why are you diverting?

2020-02-14 05:22:31 UTC

I'm not, my point is that I wasnt and I was trying to make a joke about it, I suppose Im just not very funny

2020-02-14 05:24:53 UTC

well we're kinda in a convo

2020-02-14 05:26:14 UTC

well I am sorry

2020-02-14 05:26:18 UTC

continue

2020-02-14 05:28:00 UTC

I don't really have anything to say

2020-02-14 05:28:02 UTC

I already made a point

2020-02-14 05:29:28 UTC

Well you said that I was assuming that "we have to go one issue at a time", and idk where I implied that or even how that is relevant

2020-02-14 05:31:16 UTC

it's relevant because you assume that there aren't ways to stop the symptoms of that

2020-02-14 05:31:24 UTC

without just giving them to economic forces

2020-02-14 05:33:28 UTC

ok well I would appreciate it if you could present a full argument that I could work with

2020-02-14 05:34:45 UTC

what argument is there to present?

2020-02-14 05:34:51 UTC

it's pretty straightforward

2020-02-14 05:36:06 UTC

Do you want me to give an argument against capitalism or?

2020-02-14 05:36:53 UTC

That would be great

2020-02-14 05:42:42 UTC

Capitalism is bad because it prioritizes personal wellbeing over the common welfare. Whether or not something is good is not the primary concern, the main concern is individual profit. I don't believe in Capitalism because I believe that the state needs to have the power to organize and enforce the will of the people. I don't care about individual rights and I only care about what is morally good and collectively good. Capitalism does not inherently promote that, so I want a system that does. Once we realize that the economy only existed because it was deemed to be beneficial and only exists because people allow it to, we will be able to have an actually good economic system that puts the common good as the highest goal in the economy.

2020-02-14 05:43:40 UTC

ooh

2020-02-14 05:43:46 UTC

what system do u suggest

2020-02-14 05:43:53 UTC

I was about to ask the same question

2020-02-14 05:44:04 UTC

I will present a counter argument but I wanted to ask that first

2020-02-14 05:44:41 UTC

great minds 🧠 🧠

2020-02-14 05:45:03 UTC

something like syndicalism or corporatism

2020-02-14 05:45:22 UTC

something that isn't communist or capitalist but adheres to the principles I laid out before

2020-02-14 05:45:36 UTC

what specifically it is doesn't matter as much as if it's an honest system

2020-02-14 05:45:43 UTC

oh ok then

2020-02-14 05:45:59 UTC

not corporatism 😳

2020-02-14 05:51:33 UTC

I would argue that what is morally good is non-aggression and the state is an inherently aggressive institution. Massive corporations/monopolies are created by the government. Capitalism allows the people to really vote (as tired as the expression is, I think it still reigns true) with their dollar. The will of the people will find its way. Capitalism is all about serving, which is what the community welfare is all about. There is no profit without service. The greatest profits are made by those companies who serve those of the community the best. Capitalism inherently promotes this. Capitalism is what creates wealth, etc
