I'm sure the movie will still get lots of viewers, and may even be financially successful, but I wish people would drop all of the virtue signalling, oppression olympics, anti white male rhetoric, etc. I was originally excited about Captain Marvel, and I probably will see it eventually (mostly because of the universe tie-in), but the politics have kind of killed the mood for me. Why would I want to support people who think I'm a bane of society and call me racist/sexist/homophobic just because of my gender and skin colour. They need to stop calling everyone incels or trolls. I didn't care much for The Last Jedi, but that was because the story was bad, not because it had women in it. They over politicized Black Panther but I still enjoyed it because it was a good movie. I hope Captain Marvel is good...I'm just not that optimistic.
