@Deleted User That's a new born child not an aborted child

2019-05-07 14:47:25 UTC

wait is it like in womb or like

2019-05-07 14:47:27 UTC

late term abortions exist

2019-05-07 14:47:35 UTC

Not that late my dude

2019-05-07 14:47:39 UTC

not like late abortion

2019-05-07 14:47:42 UTC

like earlier ones

2019-05-07 14:47:46 UTC

as billcat said, we're addressing the majority

2019-05-07 14:48:04 UTC

Doctors examining the patient will conduct a battery of tests to determine whether any brain activity is present. If all brain activity is absent, the patient is dead.

2019-05-07 14:48:08 UTC

If an indvidual is brain dead

2019-05-07 14:48:11 UTC

they should be killed

2019-05-07 14:48:16 UTC

That was literally a premature baby, not an abortion.

2019-05-07 14:48:16 UTC

yes

2019-05-07 14:48:34 UTC

During 2012, 92% of abortions were performed before 14 weeks' gestation, 6% between 14–20 weeks, and 2% (n=96) at a later stage.

2019-05-07 14:48:38 UTC

"No. The brain will never recover when it dies. Since the patient has already been declared dead, removing the machine (which is artificially pumping air into the lungs) cannot cause further harm or death."

2019-05-07 14:48:44 UTC

The brain doesnt come back

2019-05-07 14:48:45 UTC

Brain activity can be regained after loss, yes. It's incredibly rare but it does occur. What I say, specifically was if you know a person will be 100% recovered in several months, meaning normal brain activity, would it be moral to kill them?

2019-05-07 14:48:46 UTC

its dead

2019-05-07 14:48:59 UTC

so saying that they might recover is not a thing

2019-05-07 14:49:01 UTC

its dead

2019-05-07 14:49:08 UTC

you cant revive

2019-05-07 14:49:12 UTC

The fetus prior to brain activity is as alive as a germ

2019-05-07 14:49:16 UTC

This...is a hypothetical, lol

2019-05-07 14:49:18 UTC

WE kill germs all the time

2019-05-07 14:49:19 UTC

previously, that human has survived, so it's not a fair comparison

2019-05-07 14:49:21 UTC

brain death is not recoverable

2019-05-07 14:49:26 UTC

but its not realistic

2019-05-07 14:49:39 UTC

that human has the capability to survive outside its mother's womb

2019-05-07 14:49:48 UTC

thats what we're going by

2019-05-07 14:49:55 UTC

So the criteria for whether a fetus is alive or not is the exact minute it has brain activity and whether or not it can survive outside the womb?

Your logical trap doesnt apply. Of course we would be hypocrites under your nonexistant hypothetical but that does not prove anything because it does not happen

2019-05-07 14:50:12 UTC

Before those points it's entirely acceptable to kill it, but it isn't killing because it "isn't alive"?

2019-05-07 14:50:23 UTC

Yes

2019-05-07 14:50:34 UTC

yes

2019-05-07 14:50:37 UTC

yes

2019-05-07 14:50:42 UTC

If I throw a rock have I killed it??

2019-05-07 14:50:49 UTC

murder = killing something that IS alive

2019-05-07 14:50:52 UTC

I guess this is where we end the discussion, no matter what I do I cannot change your moral views on an issue

2019-05-07 14:51:03 UTC

I'm sorry you reject science

2019-05-07 14:51:15 UTC

But, it isn't a debate about science, lmao
