If a woman is raped, and she, for whatever reason, is not able to seek an abortion before your definition of life begins, is it killing to abort the baby? @ashnaa

2019-05-07 15:30:29 UTC

why would she not be able to seek abortion

2019-05-07 15:30:31 UTC

This is why I dislike speaking in outliers, because they just get further and further off the rails and never promote the discussion

2019-05-07 15:30:49 UTC

Maybe a woman is held captive, raped, and rescued after that point?

2019-05-07 15:31:00 UTC

she was still raped

2019-05-07 15:31:12 UTC

There was a lady here in ohio who was held captive for 13 years and gave birth numerous times during it, so it does happen

2019-05-07 15:31:26 UTC

So it's then ok to kill this baby that you yourself have deemed scientifically alive?

2019-05-07 15:31:47 UTC

wait what

2019-05-07 15:31:47 UTC

GG @thomas the choo choo tree, you just advanced to level 6!

2019-05-07 15:31:50 UTC

alive then no

2019-05-07 15:31:54 UTC

before alive then yea

2019-05-07 15:32:27 UTC

Well yea, I'm just trying to logically challenge your viewpoint of using the mother's psyschological state as a deciding factor

2019-05-07 15:32:37 UTC

oh ok

2019-05-07 15:33:14 UTC

I'm just using a hypothetical of, for whatever circumstances, the mother who is raped (let's say she was held captive) is rescued, and it is discovered she has been pregnant long enough for the baby to be considered scientifically alive. Would it be ok for an abortion?

2019-05-07 15:33:21 UTC

and then you said no, so i'd ask why?

2019-05-07 15:33:44 UTC

ohh

2019-05-07 15:34:26 UTC

because then it actually would be murder

2019-05-07 15:34:50 UTC

but i mean it's a blurry line for me

2019-05-07 15:36:00 UTC

yea its ok

2019-05-07 15:36:17 UTC

Yea, like I said, that's why I strongly dislike these incredible outliers

2019-05-07 15:38:19 UTC

they show where you draw the line tho

2019-05-07 15:38:19 UTC

GG @ashnaa, you just advanced to level 8!

2019-05-07 15:38:28 UTC

so i think they're important

2019-05-07 15:38:48 UTC

imo they should abort cuz it has a bigger impact on the lady than the child born

2019-05-07 15:39:05 UTC

wdym

2019-05-07 15:39:15 UTC

who's "they"

2019-05-07 15:39:22 UTC

lke

2019-05-07 15:39:24 UTC

the lady

2019-05-07 15:39:25 UTC

person

2019-05-07 15:39:28 UTC

Fair enough I suppose. For me, remaining morally consistent is a key component of having a stable world view, because if you can't keep your morals consistent, what do you have to base anything at all off of?

2019-05-07 15:39:28 UTC

rape victims?

2019-05-07 15:39:36 UTC

yea

2019-05-07 15:39:56 UTC

yeah our morals should be consistent

2019-05-07 15:39:59 UTC

You can't really base everything you do off of science, unlike Komrade claims, because then we would just live in the most efficient way scientifically possible and act on instinct

2019-05-07 15:40:19 UTC

science and morals both factor into our choices

2019-05-07 15:40:28 UTC

We would eat nutrient paste, have babies, and work more to further these goals

2019-05-07 15:40:29 UTC

Exactly

2019-05-07 15:41:13 UTC

ok well

2019-05-07 15:41:16 UTC

im gonna go sleep

2019-05-07 15:41:17 UTC

bye
