first off these twin studies do not account for environment, at the same time this doesn't exactly disprove their findings, but it also doesn't disprove that the environment children are placed in can significantly hinder them

if two children are placed in two significantly different environments then there will be a deviation regardless of how related they are

their genes ARE still being expressed of course, and are the main driving force of what their IQ consist of

it's just like any other trait though, if you have a dirt poor environment for that gene to be expressed then it will never even reach its full genetic potential
