The FBI lol the look on his face when he said that..as if he thought after the fact that he probably shouldn't have even admitted that fear.. lmfao. @BraaiBroodjie
That was actually really good π I'm saving it π @Meerkat_RSA
Waiting Until Marriage to Hug @Apollo
Waiting for marriage to kiss? Bahaha oh..Lord Jesus π π @Apollo
@spursfan82 Lol. The EFF were in a completely different world this time, they themselves couldn't understand what was going on the facts were put on the table.
@Rainbow Monkeys yeah! Steenhuisen pointed out the conflict between their ideology and their actions and then they totally malfunctioned and all they could do was call him a racist.
Ever notice how some white South Africans adopt a kind of black accent when talking to blacks?
Yeah, I do it too sometimes.
@spursfan82 I don't know, it's the same, I once worked with colleagues from Cape Town for 2 weeks, I ended speaking just like them with the accent. It just happens. You reckon it's racist?
Yeah I get that, I think its natural to adapt to your environment, even the way you communicate. I can understand the deliberate mockery, like if someone stutters for example, and you do that too, that would very likely be a mockery and they try really hard to adapt to their environment to speak normal like those around them.
@Meerkat_RSA I don't think suzelle is mocking though, she's an entertainer, and the videos I've seen, she's never made the Afrikaner boer look kak. So I'll disagree that she is malicious about her performance.
And that whamen that rolled her eyes, she's just being politically correct, while the coloured man was just being honest and reasonable. Who was that coloured man? Or where can I watch the debate?
@Meerkat_RSA yes but she's still not being malicious about it. If she was being malicious I would agree, but I have yet to see her drag the Afrikaner boer rep through the mud. In fact, from feedback I've seen, people actually love the Afrikaner boer accent because of her.
Ah okay, saw that posted a few times, let me watch that now since you sold me on it.
Agree - Suzelle is cool. People dig that sort of thing.
It's almost flattery because, in a way, you know that the person you are parodying can take a joke and is able to laugh at themselves.
Something that I think most South Africans are fairly good at. Indians loved it when old trevor noah did his indian routines
@Meerkat_RSA jis the first 10min in to this video and I'm Already frustrated with the women, the black and the white one, both of them so far are just irking me with their black people white people finger pointing. I still need to watch the rest, but jeez, the division is very much real, the way they perceive reality is so ignorant... Maybe it's just their emotions getting the better of them.
Let me grind through thisπ
haha I feel the same way. The thumbnail alone puts me off.
Okay that coloured guy that came up after the woman, they guy is Shap, mentioning the zebra debateπ guy is spot on not getting represented, not even the Indians get representation.
And there's the black woman rolling her eyes while he suggests fair representation π
This guy is a legend, I want to see him on the live show actually
Yeah, i honestly don't agree with coloureds and Indians being referred to as black, because they technically aren't, but also it's not right to be represented by someone else, especially when they don't have your best interest in mind. That Indian chick that was comsidering herself black and insisting that coloured is a black brother, jeez.. Immediately you see that its setup to be everyone (being black) against whites, she talks about all non whites as brothers and sisters, all but whites. Blatant exclusion, focused on race. Why can't she just say everyone is African, because everyone being white, brown, black and coloured born here is technically African... But no, unity is not on the agenda lol.. Jis this debate frustrates me so much.
so at break point now, next we hear from gardners that face racism... Wonder if they going to include white, coloureds and Indians that also face racism?
At the second break point, they never even talked about gardeners lol.. But joh those emotions. Kinda wish I was there participating, I would have triggered the shit out of people, and probably receive tons of death threats π lol
Almost done, 20min more
You know..I'm glad that y'all can have difficult discussions and debates like the one the other dude and meerkat posted..the big debate...it's amazing how civil everyone was and for the most part and gave everyone their fair moment to speak (even the older Boer men were given room to speak semi-respectfully (even though the crowd booed at them, as a whole it was pretty respectful) without stomping and interrupting too much....I wish something like this could exist here in America, but the show would just quickly devolve into utter bickering chaos...:(
So, very jealous that y'all even have that sort of show to watch..
