@Sheamus we are all animals, we're talking about 'sub-human' ie that person is less than me, because well, I don't know, but I'm sure they are - it's a pretty low IQ argument
i r brd
I didn't say anything about passion based warfare though. I'm just passionate in my hatred
@rob no we aren't all animals lol, why would you say that then criticise those who do call them animals then?
my enemy has different goals to me (that are not reconcilable with my goals) - this doesn't mean that my enemy is stupid or incapable, and assuming that is how you lose
We're all animals really
It's just our own narcissism that makes us think different
he's trolling, I want to know why you guys thought he might be a decent mod
obvs an idiot
Yes, i am the better option of a mod. I should replace him
sorry
No problems there
im being dehumanised
ah awesome you can block the mods everyone
Grendel your arguements does not make any sense
just look at this Anti-German US propaganda poster. its common practice to dehumanize the enemy so that the soldiers can act without conscious
I'm not trying to convince anyone, dehumanization is the way to go
But nooo
nah, the people spewing the sub human stuff are clearly not in it to win it, they are here to divide and weaken the right. decent generals don't disregard their enemies or write them off as sub human. Thats for ethnic cleansers and genocidal groups.
I mean, if you guys are still in high school i understand
@Deleted User this is some of the weakest trolling I've ever seen
@rob but if the soldiers believe it they can kill without feelings getting in the way
putting a label on a group and painting them as satan incarnate is how genocides happen
yes juub
@Nidalap Rorrim if soldiers believe it they may underestimate the enemy and lose battles due to overconfidence etc
terrorism is abhorrent
soldiers are meant to do one thing. follow orders. They don't get to think, thats the General's job. and to a lesser degree the commanding officer of the squad
Remember they fought for "freedom"
violence aimed at civilians to achieve political ends
still terrorism
I'm oversimplifying it a lot but I home you get what i'm saying
chain of command, the lower you are the less your suppose to think
@Nidalap Rorrim the problem with trying to convince your army that the enemy is subhuman is that it doesn't stand up to any kind of intellectual scrutiny, and if your army is not just a bunch of meatheads it will backfire. and no, good armies are not made up of idiots
I understand the chain of command angle
and you have to believe in what you are doing
Soldiers really only want an excuse to kill
no You only want an excuse to kill
soldiers have many reasons for being there
the subhuman thing is probably where we are talking past each other. I'm saying labeling the enemy as "pure evil" or such names is what makes it easier for the soldier to pull the trigger.
