Someone needs to take the NY safe act to the Supreme Court as well
Stossel has a great ‘stache too
The bump stock ban is not "4d chess", i'm sure trump actually wants them banned but he won't be able to ban them through executive power unless the courts fuck up badly
It would certainly be reasonable for him to actually want it, given his background.
The problem comes to the slippery slope of legislating what we think people need or don't need....
no one NEEDS a nuke.... but for self defense you're going to need more than a musket in this day and age
setting precedents for "trivial" things such as X size magazines, bump stocks, and other accessories allows lawmakers to say "why not ban something else?" till eventually we end up in the same situation as the UK...
Place where you can't even own a broken broom handle
Recreational Nukes Now.
You can't own nukes because you'd inadvertently hurt someone due to radiation... Guns are a point and shoot deal.... nukes... quite the opposite....
(You can still enjoy them in Fallout 4)
(because 76 is shit)
Funny, I don't recall the Second Amendment saying "The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed, unless it might be hazardous to keep them if improperly maintained."
Life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.... Radiation fallout can end lives or make them miserable.... bullets hitting paper targets don't have that side effect
The same as a bullet to the ol' brainpan.
And yet, people are still allowed to have guns, because there are no caveats in the Second Amendment.
No ifs, ands, or buts.
or hurt them
(emotionally doesn't count)
I'm pretty sure there are plenty of instances where you're allowed to kill people with guns.
I hazard to guess that that's the primary reason we're allowed to have them.
only if they're doing things that threaten your life
Or property.
Or the lives or property of others.
that generally falls under Life threat
"strange person in the house"
Point being, there might be good reasons to not let people have nukes.
But then, there's good reasons not to let people have guns.
The Second Amendment allows for both. If we want to be a nation that follows its own laws *and* stops people from owning nukes, we need to rewrite the Second Amendment.
Problem is that you can clean up after a gunfight, but nukes leave the land dead for quite a while
@Eirene Yeah, you're right about that.
the beginning is often the beginning of the end.
Imagine if infringing on certain rights of others ended up having you stripped of those rights....
Not Really Bookworm. Read 2A.
A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of
a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms
shall not be infringed.
What is a Militia?
"a military force that is raised from the civil population to supplement a regular army in an emergency."
basically like in Red Dawn
