your ICs and a simple I/O expander

you could do dual color and get red/green

then have everything turn red when the slide locked back

they could be dropping something on the firing pin which would be good since it's exposed and metal

Intersting product I saw at Meprolight today

a gun sight, similar to a red dot type scope, but it's I think OLED. It can be synced to your computer, and phone, and it allows user programability. including customized reticle.

when I was looking through it, it was yellow. I believe it is RGB.

many sights nowadays offers dual colors of green and red . as green tends to stand out more in bright sunlight
