that's why I explicitly said "out of the ordinary", it's very, very rare that you get a brand new concept, even something like Superhot *barely* qualifies
and I have no disillusion about THAT ever being "game of the year", maybe a few iterations down the line when things have been fine-tuned. A brand new concept winning would be the equivalent of Movie of the Year going to some pretentious art film
