You seem to think blacks are like whites with regards to personal responsibility and the like.

Also, homogeneous does not mean "all white" or "all Asian". It just little cultural variation. Culture is not linked directly to race. Unified anything generally does better than fractured. And to an extent, you are right, and a lot of people would like immigrants to assimilate for that reason. Something that a merit based society usually helps facilitate.
