I do know that the 'natives' of the land before the Spanish arrived still resided there in small numbers... I think the Aztecs? They were very distinct from the Mexicans because they were far shorter. You could tell them apart just by looking at them.

I grew up in Chicago and saw the same sort of thing. neighborhoods went through cycles-nice neighborhoods turned bad and some bad neighborhood gentrified and turned around. Chicago might be the one off though. Detroit is the other extreme

I never heard gunshots in the neighborhood I lived in but 2 miles west in the neighborhood that I went to school in there were alot of gangs and they were not shy in making their presence known

Just about every country on the planet before 1965 was an ethnostate, including the US, be it through function or active enforcement of it.

Not the US really, heavy majority, sure; but it depends on where you bend the leaf as to who falls into what section

money only gives people the power to do what they want, it doesent make what they want to do any better. throwing money at foreign countrys without having power to influince the direction those countrys take that money in simply makes that countys problems more expensive. there were good happy communitys during the neolithic. i should also point out that nontransparent control offered along side subsides only works in specific ways, what america does when it controls south american countrys via the cia doesent classify as the kind of direction needed to go along side subsides, at best what it does is protect moneyed intrests
