I would agree with that. They should sink or swim on their own. Unfortunately if they do fail then nothing short of a solid wall from Pacific to Gulf would prevent a tidal wave of people coming north

But yeah, I think the main reason there has not been a revolution by now is because people can flee into the US. If there is an out from a bad situation, people will take it; though, if someone is cornered and trapped, they will fight or submit, and under such circumstances people will only submit for so long.

I do know that the 'natives' of the land before the Spanish arrived still resided there in small numbers... I think the Aztecs? They were very distinct from the Mexicans because they were far shorter. You could tell them apart just by looking at them.

I grew up in Chicago and saw the same sort of thing. neighborhoods went through cycles-nice neighborhoods turned bad and some bad neighborhood gentrified and turned around. Chicago might be the one off though. Detroit is the other extreme

I specifically remember my father one day telling me that I'm not allowed to wear red or blue shirts anymore, because I might accidentally catch the attention of the opposite 'gang' and they might think I'm part of their enemy's tribe.

I never heard gunshots in the neighborhood I lived in but 2 miles west in the neighborhood that I went to school in there were alot of gangs and they were not shy in making their presence known

Because there's nothing to 'buy into', it works.

Just about every country on the planet before 1965 was an ethnostate, including the US, be it through function or active enforcement of it.

Not the US really, heavy majority, sure; but it depends on where you bend the leaf as to who falls into what section

Before the immigration reform of 1965, the immigration policy specifically named white people. You can't really get more outright 'ethnostate' than that.
