if you effect welfare you will just kill people

2018-05-16 08:52:37 UTC

or force them to kill you

2018-05-16 08:53:06 UTC

the fact that money isint solving the problem doesent mean they arnt dependent on it

2018-05-16 08:53:12 UTC

I mean, or they could get a job where they're not drug tested...

2018-05-16 08:53:27 UTC

they arnt just going to find the solution to their problems and act right just because they have their food taken from them

2018-05-16 08:53:38 UTC

they have guns

2018-05-16 08:53:44 UTC

not if they're on drugs.

2018-05-16 08:53:44 UTC

they think guns solve their problems

2018-05-16 08:53:53 UTC

I mean, they're not supposed to, legally.

2018-05-16 08:54:17 UTC

If they're on drugs, and they're armed, they've committed at least a couple felonies.

2018-05-16 08:54:40 UTC

within the framework of current laws, anyway.

2018-05-16 08:55:03 UTC

legally isint going to be a problem for them your talking about effecting millions of people all at the same time who have violent tendencys and are only inseler to their own communitys because thats comfertible for them, make it uncomfertible shits going to get bad

2018-05-16 08:55:06 UTC

Arresting people for drugs isnt helping their long term prospects.

2018-05-16 08:55:27 UTC

I'm actually inclined to agree, there.

2018-05-16 08:55:31 UTC

Not saying legalizing it is my path.

2018-05-16 08:55:48 UTC

The main point, though, is that our safety net is too comfortable.

2018-05-16 08:55:55 UTC

But you need to give them something to do besides drugs.

2018-05-16 08:56:00 UTC

That too

2018-05-16 08:56:13 UTC

The gymnast performs better without the net.

2018-05-16 08:56:21 UTC

taking money away wont cause fathers to stay with the women they put babys into

2018-05-16 08:56:28 UTC

it will just starve people

2018-05-16 08:56:44 UTC

no but it won't promote women to get babies for free money either

2018-05-16 08:56:44 UTC

There are certain incentives within the laws in place that promote fatherless households.

2018-05-16 08:56:47 UTC

And create people who will rely on welfare

2018-05-16 08:57:20 UTC

What Jayred and Ginga said are valid as well.

2018-05-16 08:57:28 UTC

although Ginga's was a little crudely put.

2018-05-16 08:57:43 UTC

hm maybe it would work if you made it "any application past this point" and ensured all applications prior

2018-05-16 08:57:44 UTC

actually, both were. 😛

2018-05-16 08:57:49 UTC

Heres the issue, people will be reckless and stupid regardless,

But you don't somehow make people more responsible by covering every mistake they make, they'll just be less caring because theres no chance for failure

2018-05-16 08:57:55 UTC

because the thing you need to not do is starve people to death

2018-05-16 08:58:19 UTC

people who CAN and WANT to work shoud not starve to death

2018-05-16 08:58:28 UTC

they cant

2018-05-16 08:58:28 UTC

welfare leeches can rot for all i care

2018-05-16 08:58:44 UTC

People who CAN'T work but want to shouldn't starve, either.

2018-05-16 08:58:50 UTC

you seem to beleive that jobs exist in these communitys where no ones had a job in generations

2018-05-16 08:59:03 UTC

because of the wellfair problem

2018-05-16 08:59:10 UTC

It's specifically the combination of Can and Don't Want To that are the problem.

2018-05-16 08:59:20 UTC

the whole point of welfare is to support people who can't work, and be a safety net for people who accidentally failed and need a hand back up

Right now, welfare is a system where its "qualify and you get free money"

2018-05-16 08:59:54 UTC

So you incentivise being useless

2018-05-16 09:00:40 UTC

i know these people CAN work, your thinking on principle, you need to start thinking practicly. if the problem is people not working, and the problem has existed for generations, theres not likely to be many jobs in the neighberhood when millions of people need them.

2018-05-16 09:00:50 UTC

and no i don't believe jobs exist in those communities, but what happened to moving away from those places in the first place?
