I don't
see the only problem i have with an aggregator is do people even know what they are anymore? like the idea is to fight the hidding of content on youtube by youtube, and youtube isint just where videos are uploaded but its also the biggest aggregator for videos in the world besides like the video section on google when you search. so how does an aggragator actually increase growth? advertising the aggragator?
the idea was just to fix the visibility issue
not the ad revenue
yeah i just asked about the visibility issue
depending on the volume of people in the aggregator, it can start paying creators for viewers that come from there
the main way aggragators work is sub sharing
@Deadpool Bruce Jenner proved that already i believe, becoming wamen of the year
`1) alt websites get like no views. which means extra work, time taken away from making videos, for potential no return
2) youtube can control if you get money from ads
3) youtube can control how easy it is to find your video
4) having all your eggs in one basket is never a good idea
5) Revenue is a combination of views and ads
6) views is a combo of number of videos, and quality/content of the videos
7) alt sites will, hopefully grow but will do so slowly`
if we can making it easier to maintain 2 or more video upload sites, that should help solve the rest of these problems i would think. anyone agree?
you should add a 8) that actually says what i said before because what i said before was actually very accurate
followed by the visibility issue we could be handled with the same tool by promoting on things like twitter and other places all at once
it would remedy it a bit atleast,
but if you're always gonna upload on youtube regardless, not many people will cross over to alt-sites
but subsharing doesent actually increase the bulk subscribers the entire section of people youve agragated together except that their veiws go up and hopefuly that has ramafications on youtube, but the fact that it doesent is the problem
@Arch-Fiend i modified it because this was a list of problems, and that wasn't really a problem but a solution.
oh sorry then
i thought it was just a list of factors
@Dr.Wol true. but youtube will do the work of making it so you can't view stuff on youtube for you.
just make a program that automatically uploads to any site/account you add to it
Kind of like how OBS uploads a stream to a certain link
so you can add like 4-5 hosting sites, and the program automatically does it for you every time
@Dr.Wol thats what i was thinking. Add youtube, twitter, facebook, bitchute, and minds to it. You upload a video, it goes to bitchute and youtube, then automatically posts links to it on twitter, facebook and minds. something like that
yes
now the only problem is website APIs
but we could, in theory, make this an open source tool. no need to charge money if people work on it for their own benefit, and there is no real maintain costs unlike a website which needs to pay a server.
so its free for creators, which means they have no reason not to use it, assuming we keep login credentials safe. which means how to save that info locally, or make them login to all the sites every time (not exactly a user friendly way to do things)
well, most social media sites have API's to connect to other things,
like all those "share this video" buttons
right, i'm more concerned about the upload api
youtube has one, its easy to find. let me look for bitchute
might work better if i knew anime
seems like bitchute doesn't have an official api yet
not surprising, usually APIs start out as communities reverse engineering things, sometimes with support from the companies until its large enough that the leg work is done, then the company just maintains it from there
not uncommon
its a trap!
