It's endemic.
People encouraged me to continue my degree when I could have quit and taken the job.
I am lucky to have a big family what was wiling to foot the bill.
Hell I realized it wasnt my thing and went on to start a small buisness.
After awhile, our own decisions define us.
But at first, it's lucky who you were born to be family with, and friends around.
I wish the whole discussion of 'privilege' hadn't polluted the conversation.
With race and gender fucking nonsense.
It's about class.
Now the rich solipsists with functional childhoods have the high ground again.
Speaking down to people who didn't have these things.
again? when did they ever not have it?
...?
Who's 'they'?
Oh the solipsists.
Well it's taller high ground than it was before, I guess is a better way to put it.
Post that to TD
I'm only level 3
If you use reddit like a pleb...
Reddit is trash
Never mind the fact that she's claiming to represent a lot more people than herself that disagree with her.
I'm sure as hell not the 1%
And I'm sure as hell not in her 99%
Fine arts degree. Neat. What did you think you'd be doing with that?
Did you have a plan? Did you look at that and say 'I know how I'll pay that off'?
Did you turn down opportunities because they weren't what you were wanting to do?
They weren't your damned dream job?
If that's how the damned '99%' plan, then I'll stick with the 1% running shit.
One of the best points Mike Rowe has made, and I don't like it because it's true: 'don't follow your passions, but always bring them with you'. You only get to do what you want to do in life by negotiating in the things you don't want to in the process.
And that's life, for you. [/rant]
Because if a god didn't exist then how do you explain President Trump?
i would accept his answer. it is a valid answer. I must now rely on the sheer chance given the number of fuck ups that this man is just a statistical likelihood. otherwise that is a very valid argument for god.
