Lets be honest, the powers that be don't want to teach critical thinking skills to the young. They want students to be spoon fed what to think

Well, for starters, College isn't about learning to think for yourself

Tim's basically right, School in general is designed to train you to be an employee

And not an Employer.

I mean, there are some professions that are employable without employers

but most doctors wind up working for a hospital or a clinic

Most lawyers wind up working under a partnership

Engineers wind up working for a firm, same with Architects.

In a sense, Corporatism crushes Exceptionalism.

And what we're headed towards seems to either be more corporatism, or a kneejerk Socialism.

Authoritative voices need to be drowned out by individualistic ones, but the only way to do that is to get more people to think for themselves
