Oh I expect them to be shit

2018-10-18 20:00:26 UTC

My point has never been that I expect more from them, only that the Sinclair Memo is just more of the same

2018-10-18 20:11:20 UTC

I'm going to have to cut this short, real life problems just showed up.

2018-10-19 17:45:49 UTC

OK folks, Aydin Paladins new vid on Kanye is really good.

2018-10-19 17:48:24 UTC

Gonna watch it later

2018-10-19 18:05:28 UTC

i got one if yo dont vote do you have the right to complain about who is in office

2018-10-19 18:13:37 UTC

@CougarChaser I've had this argument with someone that doesn't vote 'if you don't vote you can't complain' the response is 'it doesn't matter who I vote for, they'll cocks'

2018-10-19 18:13:52 UTC

Yes you can complain.

2018-10-19 18:14:09 UTC

see i was raised the opposite

2018-10-19 18:14:25 UTC

if you dont vote you dont

2018-10-19 18:15:13 UTC

if you dont like either canidates you can always write down a random name but you should always vote

2018-10-19 18:16:56 UTC

If you buy a lottery ticket and lose, do you have more right to complain about the lottery than someone who didn't buy one?

2018-10-19 18:18:17 UTC

I've only not voted once, coz I had no one to vote for. I had been an active participant in democracy up until that point. Do I lose the right to complain coz I felt left with no other opion. Spoiling your paper is not a vote, it's a show of being disenfranchised, the same as not voting.

2018-10-19 18:19:25 UTC

well for me its amattter of contributing to the political climate if you dont vote you are not contributing through any sort of action ]\

2018-10-19 18:19:40 UTC

Voting is the only way to contribute?

2018-10-19 18:20:21 UTC

There is a point where if enough people don't vote then the vote can't be counted. Not voting can be seen as a political expression.

2018-10-19 18:20:27 UTC

when it comes to people in office yes

2018-10-19 18:20:41 UTC

example

2018-10-19 18:21:23 UTC

So if person A informs people of the issues, organizes protests, participates in and donates to whistleblowing groups but does not vote and person B voted for the first name that appears on the list, person B contributes and person A does not

2018-10-19 18:21:30 UTC

?

2018-10-19 18:21:33 UTC

if i dont vote but i dont like my governer but i never voted againt him i have no right to complain because i did nothing to stop it

2018-10-19 18:22:01 UTC

and they only way to stop it is by voting

2018-10-19 18:22:14 UTC

That assumes voting is a way to stop it

2018-10-19 18:22:26 UTC

it is

2018-10-19 18:22:43 UTC

If I have a left wing party and a left wing party competing for the majority decision how do I not have a left wing politician in my riding?

2018-10-19 18:23:07 UTC

I don't think it's as simple as that @CougarChaser

2018-10-19 18:23:44 UTC

it actually is just i think [people nowadayys dont think there vote matters so they dont vote

2018-10-19 18:25:27 UTC

which when someone like trump gets in office you only have yourself to blame and you lose your right to complain cause you didnt fight for it to change where it really mattered

2018-10-19 18:25:33 UTC

in the polls

2018-10-19 18:26:16 UTC

when there is clear voter fraud going on and the powers at be claim its not happening, its hard not to feel like its as useful as voting in a russian election

2018-10-19 18:26:48 UTC

you can protest and whatever but voting is where it all comes down

2018-10-19 18:27:19 UTC

Sorry, what was the solution to Trump exactly? Voting for Hillary?

2018-10-19 18:28:03 UTC

either or or write a name down i voted independent

2018-10-19 18:28:15 UTC

And again I point to a scenario where the voter turnout is so low due to political disenfranchisement that the vote is null and void. Not voting can be statement.

2018-10-19 18:28:57 UTC

no not voting only hurts you theres no statement

2018-10-19 18:29:18 UTC

So how did voting independent fix the Trump "issue"?

2018-10-19 18:29:46 UTC

actually it hurts everyone and it didnt but at least i voted for change

2018-10-19 18:29:54 UTC

beats not voting at all

2018-10-19 18:30:04 UTC

But what have you contributed in real concrete terms, to US politics

2018-10-19 18:30:18 UTC

What actual change have you made?

2018-10-19 18:30:56 UTC

dont need to do anything else because everything e;se starts with the vote
