Additionally, if you take a look at mass shootings in the US youll find that around 1990 they increase in both number of incidents and casualties per incident
Prior to the 1980s most shootings were limited to a handful of casualties and didnt cross the threshold for mass shootings
until you go back to the 20s
In 1990 the gun free zone act was passed through congress. Schools and other public spaces became no gun zones for private citizens.

The gun free zone act was supposed to prevent anger focused shootings in schools by removing the tool from the area. Theory being that if they didnt have immedate access to a gun theyd cool off and decide not to kill.
how often to mass shootings occur in gun free zones? Of the few before 1980, how many occurred in places viewed as gun free (such as churches)?
I can tell you that in the 2000s and 2010s theyve become far more common than they were prior to 1980
i wish people would look at the gun murder statistics and realize that mass shootings are incredibly rate in terms of percentage of incidents, and that the majority of gun murders are gang related. that's where the bulk of the death is, and that's what needs to be focused on in terms of change

Murder is very common in ghetto communities. More so for blacks but white ghettos are violent as well.
It is also pretty dirty how a lot of statistics include gun related suicides as well.

if it's not illegal it can't be a crime
now, in some places it is illegal, so in some places it is a crime
there's also crime in a moral sense
