I have a tendency to follow Turkey related stuff as my Poly-Sci final was a independent study paper on Turkey's prospects of joining the EU and I wrote about the "coup" as it was happening.
jesus
I‘m usually not for firing people for being stupid... but a history teacher calling a jew a „hitler type“ is baffling to me... and i really question the teachers qualification here... and it happened in class, in front of other students...
<:astolfocomfy:391060512752009226> if the teacher didn't confront the dood on twitter or encourage other students to join in on his rant I would think just having him change classes would be reasonable
No bulli <:feelsbadman:356903315147063307>
Suspension without pay for rest of the school year then come back next year or something else like that makes sense to me but I'm no school principal or anything <:lurk:270563112674000896>
No fire <:pillowno:393462931116785671>
Is this the parkland kid or the ken bone kid?
Parkland.
His teacher called him the next hitler.
Ohh i see it now.
Yeah... How do they respond to Hitler using gun controll to disarm jews?
Anyhow, I want to know they reasoning for it.
You expect logic from them?
No, but even an idiot has a method of coming to a certain conclusion
And It is a topic I wish I could study if I took the proper courses for that.
And well... If I had some good subjects to discuss with
It’s called emotion. That’s how they get their conclusions although it is the most illogical thing ever.
Also, even then, it could change minds. Well, asking them to consider how they got there.
It’s I feel emotional about (thing) so how can I get other people to be emotional about (thing)? I could compare (thing) to Hitler because everyone hates hitler thus triggering emotion in them too.
Thing is, how much of it is intentional, or is simply an echo of someone stating that opinion
Not sure but I think it’s a bit of both.
Well, I guess its one thing, I dont like blaming a person for coming to any conclusion.
Depends if they have an agenda or are just misinformed.
They trust a source, hence they repeat that source.
The term "useful idiots" applies here
Right. I don’t blame them but I do blame the people doing it intentionally.
Hard to know the difference sometimes though.
Well, I am not relligious, but I do recall the bible mentioning, well, warning people to be careful of prophets who will lead people to sin.
Like the current pope.
False prophets.
People will believe crazy stuff if you tell them god said it. (see radical Islam)
THing is it kinda applies here and to anything, it can be applied to prophets who lead their followers to kill.
Same for feminists and socialists. kill people, remove rights, for the greater good.
Which are religions in a way.
Tim had a video about how intersectionality was a religion.
Ive seen many people echo that sentiment. Milo, Shapiro, PJW, Joe Rogan, and I think even Peterson said that.
Idk he has in previous videos, but Tim should make a few videos outlining how to do good research on a topic, that way we can give him a hand. Then he has a reason to shill the discord because more people means more reseachers who can give him a hand.
