Depends if they have an agenda or are just misinformed.

2018-04-28 12:04:59 UTC

They trust a source, hence they repeat that source.

2018-04-28 12:05:11 UTC

The term "useful idiots" applies here

2018-04-28 12:05:34 UTC

Right. I don’t blame them but I do blame the people doing it intentionally.

2018-04-28 12:05:46 UTC

Hard to know the difference sometimes though.

2018-04-28 12:06:30 UTC

Well, I am not relligious, but I do recall the bible mentioning, well, warning people to be careful of prophets who will lead people to sin.

2018-04-28 12:06:38 UTC

Like the current pope.

2018-04-28 12:07:04 UTC

False prophets.

2018-04-28 12:07:50 UTC

People will believe crazy stuff if you tell them god said it. (see radical Islam)

2018-04-28 12:09:39 UTC

THing is it kinda applies here and to anything, it can be applied to prophets who lead their followers to kill.

2018-04-28 12:10:01 UTC

Same for feminists and socialists. kill people, remove rights, for the greater good.

2018-04-28 12:10:14 UTC

Which are religions in a way.

2018-04-28 12:10:32 UTC

Tim had a video about how intersectionality was a religion.

2018-04-28 12:11:09 UTC

Ive seen many people echo that sentiment. Milo, Shapiro, PJW, Joe Rogan, and I think even Peterson said that.

2018-04-28 12:29:59 UTC

Idk he has in previous videos, but Tim should make a few videos outlining how to do good research on a topic, that way we can give him a hand. Then he has a reason to shill the discord because more people means more reseachers who can give him a hand.

2018-04-28 12:34:42 UTC

Tim should get some random guy to wear a beanie in front of the camera to do daily videos while he flies around to research really big news stories that will get millions of views when they are published.

2018-04-28 13:29:12 UTC

Thing is, trust is important.

2018-04-28 13:29:35 UTC

We are just faceless individuals who like to chat.

2018-04-28 13:32:00 UTC

Also. Think it will reflect well on him when word goes out that he relies on unpaid researchers

2018-04-28 13:42:28 UTC

when peterson says something is a religion he means the beliefs someone holds as axiomatic

2018-04-28 13:42:38 UTC

we all have them, as you gotta start from something

2018-04-28 13:43:45 UTC

so ye, when you belief something is racist no matter what, regardless of evidence, that is a religion as that is the axiom you live by, all other contrary pieces of knowledge must be flawed some way

2018-04-28 13:48:43 UTC

At least relligion has a redemption arc.

2018-04-28 13:48:53 UTC

But born white, am racist no matter what

2018-04-28 13:51:10 UTC

Actually, personal experience. I use grab here sometimes to get to the train station. Ive gotten malay drivers occasionally. Well twice so far. And well, I love to chat with anyone in general and well, grab drivers tend to be chatty. They were kinda racist. Here we do get some africans (mostly somalians and nigerians). Problem is, when you hear of either, its usually some nigerian scamming someone, an issue with somalian pirates, or some african guy smuggling drugs. So theres a rather negetive reception of them, except its very, well, kept under wraps.

2018-04-28 14:00:07 UTC

its almost as if people simplefy the world in order to possibly percieve it

2018-04-28 14:02:27 UTC

Huh, I never saw it that way.

2018-04-28 14:05:16 UTC

facts of the matter are, races do matter, there are significant racial differences in things like crime and murder, and although a single person might not hold the correct belief because he is biased by his own personal experience, on average the societies they live in will produce an average effect. the effort put into mending out group animosity is imense, and it has to be, ad there are things the outgroups do that are not ok with the in group at all

2018-04-28 14:18:53 UTC

Well, thats true, the larger something is, a small change will result in a noticable change in averages.

2018-04-28 14:19:05 UTC

That dosent only apply to society.

2018-04-28 14:20:54 UTC

Sure it sucks for the people who do want to make a change.

2018-04-28 14:21:12 UTC

But reality is reality, some will have to work harder to gain respect.

2018-04-28 14:40:47 UTC

@GingaBomber there is a difference between unpaided researches and volunteer reseachers. And it doesn't mean he doesn't have to vet the sources we provide, just make it easier for him so all he has to do is review the references linked, and over time, if we fact check one another, he might have an easier time with things. And that might mean more time interacting with us, lmao

2018-04-28 14:41:03 UTC

We'd be buying Tim's time with research, lmao

2018-04-28 14:41:27 UTC

Good point there then.

2018-04-28 14:41:43 UTC

Eh, Ill look then if he starts doing that.

2018-04-28 14:48:10 UTC

Also, whats with tim saying about vlogs?

2018-04-28 14:48:19 UTC

He gonna start doing more casual stuff?

2018-04-28 15:11:17 UTC

Cause its such a shame that YT isnt great for news.

2018-04-28 15:11:38 UTC

And dosent help that there is definately some favouritsm when it comes to channels.

2018-04-28 15:11:49 UTC

He could go the whole styx route lol.
