Good point

2019-01-20 11:54:04 UTC

That's why I often feel that I possess two people in one body, one which accepts a particular moral framework and then the other that is "fuck it all, i'm a fucking cosmic nihilist"

2019-01-20 11:54:38 UTC

So its cognitive dissonance that affects me everyday.

2019-01-20 11:55:23 UTC

your political tags can prove this as much

2019-01-20 11:55:45 UTC

unless you were memeing

2019-01-20 11:55:48 UTC

No

2019-01-20 11:55:58 UTC

I would meme for a role

2019-01-20 11:56:32 UTC

I prefer long, drawn out satire that infiltrates and impales the target.

2019-01-20 11:58:25 UTC

Sorry if I went to far

2019-01-20 12:04:33 UTC

Just thinking about moral frameworks. I'm not saying I don't have any at all. What's interesting about your dichotomy of holding nihilism and your political morals, or what's interesting to note, is that you skipped over the man made morals and in to nihilism without arriving at "nature" or natural law, do you think that's different than nihilism?

2019-01-20 12:05:52 UTC

Just to clear up the question, your asking me what I think the difference between natural law theory and nihilism is and why nihilism is more appealing?

2019-01-20 12:06:30 UTC

Why is nihilism more appealing than natural law

2019-01-20 12:06:47 UTC

Just ask why to every single moral value

2019-01-20 12:07:40 UTC

And also read about contractarianism, Thomas Hobbes, neitzche and finally read the book "homo deus"

2019-01-20 12:07:53 UTC

Sorry, be an athiest

2019-01-20 12:08:49 UTC

major help as it makes me seek more naturalistic/materialist explanation

2019-01-20 12:09:33 UTC

Then you would come to the conclusion that morality is based on situations and ones circumstances and is therefore subject.

2019-01-20 12:10:28 UTC

right

2019-01-20 12:10:46 UTC

Once that that case is made, subjectivity leads to nihilism (I mean the belief that morality is not objective)

2019-01-20 12:12:16 UTC

By the way, I don't fully subscribe to Nietzsche, I think he added in his bias of great men and social dawarinism to mean that ideologies such as communism are restrictive and therefore bad.

2019-01-20 12:13:19 UTC

He often advocated for man to achieve the status of "superman" and hated Christianity as it encouraged poor people feel good about themselves.

2019-01-20 12:14:21 UTC

*weak people to be ignorant and content with their suffering. I don't see it as a class thing

2019-01-20 12:14:21 UTC

GG @Ano, you just advanced to level 4!

2019-01-20 12:15:23 UTC

Not really class

2019-01-20 12:15:33 UTC

Just general ability

2019-01-20 12:16:14 UTC

I feel that pure nihilism should always treat value theory related topics with as much neutrality as possible.

2019-01-20 12:18:29 UTC

@Ano o, what do you feel about nihilism?

2019-01-20 12:18:30 UTC

GG @Revolutionaryarmchair, you just advanced to level 6!

2019-01-20 12:19:39 UTC

What do you guys think about monarchy?

2019-01-20 12:19:50 UTC

I mean the parlamentarist one

2019-01-20 12:19:56 UTC

O despise it.

2019-01-20 12:19:58 UTC

Doesn't work.

2019-01-20 12:20:11 UTC

got a video relevant about to topic

2019-01-20 12:20:42 UTC

2019-01-20 12:21:03 UTC

2019-01-20 12:21:53 UTC

This guy is just brilliant

2019-01-20 12:24:55 UTC

Nihilism seems like the modern mans natural conclusion to materialism, where natural law is that for the primitive man. This is a bit Jungian, though we can learn from it. Natural law is superior imo. Nihilism is devoid of an meaning like the converse natural, but the natural law succeeds in effecting greater things by proxy, where nihilism is more like suicide, idk man

2019-01-20 12:29:10 UTC

The animalistic human nature will achieve things as simple as creating a next generation, creation, but in nihilism there is no point. Nihilism is scientific RELIGION, its adherants assume everything they've read and been told to be true, and today all those things are increasingly materialistic. "you're just a shaved monkey floating on a rock in a black void" meme

2019-01-20 12:38:39 UTC

Just thinking about it

2019-01-20 12:39:44 UTC

In the new age scientism, modern mans religion as it were, we can draw parallels to "normal" religions
