Yup. Eventually you have to admit the media is doing things out of malice. It’s not like they try hiding it either.

Personally i believe its a mix of both,

cuz Media these days is a cylce,

For example
CNN reports something, all other media report the same, using CNN as their reference, and CNN then reports that their initial report is true because all other media report the same (AKA, report their own story)

If they all do that with each other, all you need is one to print out a malicious lie, and the rest follows out of ignorance/ez mode and suddenly you have a malicious lie spreading

and with the media being full of same-thinkers, they will easily believe what they believe is true, and report on it, and intentionally not mention anything disagreeing with them

and ofc its for money, "Telling people what they want to hear" so they stick around, and you can sell stuff to them

even Tim does it, when he always points to Hanlon's Razor, even when its a very far reach

Breaking through that line of thought, I'd say that Tim citing Hanlon's Razor is actually the opposite.

Most of the people who watch him want to see him talk about how evil and deceptive the media is all the time

More often than not, though, he tells us they're stupid, not evil.

(which is one of the reasons I've taken to his videos, he's challenged me on several things)

i'd say thats a matter of perspective, some people see it as him trying not to be the aggressive "You! you do the wrong thing! you should be ashamed" and instead saying "well, that thing is wrong, but you prolly didn't mean to"

but one might see it as him not wanting to alienate viewers

so he keeps a bigger vieweship etc

I suppose it COULD be argued as him not wanting to divide a viewership
