I also don't think democracy is a necessity.
But that's not what's happening
@Tool Hm. Change it to every message then back to mentions only.
A nationalist dictatorship is bad. Short term (like during war) there can be benefits, but for the most part it's bad. Picking out some cases where perhaps it turned out "ok" isn't a very good argument
Civil liberty will always come first for me
George Orwell wrote in 1944 that "the word 'Fascism' is almost entirely meaningless...almost any English person would accept 'bully' as a synonym for 'Fascist'".
@Dr.Cosby It didn't turn out 'ok'. The decade or so that those two were in power, they're both regarded as the best leaders for their two nations in history.
@Dr.Cosby By the way. Under Ayub Khan, Pakistan gave loans to Germany in 1966.
Democracy holds people accountable
Or is supposed to
Lol and there are successful Monarchies with widely-loved rulers as well
That's called LUCK
He made their nuclear technology and developed tight relationships with America and Britain.
Not luck.
They both knew what to do for their nation.
You don't base your government on getting lucky to have a "good" dictator
None of you are American
I prefer the term benevolent dictator.
I'm American
Also Russian, dual citizenship
@Deleted User We're not discussing America.
We're discussing fascism.
Why would you discuss retarded subjects
Or the effectiveness dictatorship.
Btw you mentioned this guy as one example https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayub_Khan_(President_of_Pakistan)
Fascism would never happen in America because Kansans would shoot everyone
If he was so great, why did people protest against him to the point that he had to leave office?
I don't want it happening in America, it's unfit.
@Dr.Cosby Ataturk. Also no, he was forced out.
By the military.
Good Throttles. As long as Patrick Mahomes is around, it will never happen in America.
You can search this up on pakistani sources.
"The popular demonstrations and labour strikes which were supported by the protests in East Pakistan ultimately led to his forced resignation in 1969."
At least he left
@Dr.Cosby East Pakistan = modern day Bangladesh
No he was hung.
Nationwide riots
@Dr.Cosby Dude Bangladesh.
