they aren't forcing anyone to live here, if you want to proselytization go to another country
the Kuwaiti people own the land of Kuwait so they can put their own laws.
it seems to me that you don't even understand what "Sharia law" is
If you are not allowed to convert people to other religions, what does that imply?
it's more of a lifestyle, more of a way of connecting to god, it's not much of a "law"
@Deleted User it implies that the law of the country does not allow people to convert others out of Islam
Yes, and because you are not allowed to convert others out of Islam, it implies that there is a country and a culture that does not want it's own people to convert from Islam
Therefore
yes, and what is wrong with that exactly?
Christians would naturally be seen as a threat
it's not that we see christians as a threat, it's that we know, not think, we know Islam is the right religion and it would be an un-wise decision to convert people out of it
There is nothing wrong with that, you just can't claim that christians are not persecuted against
now I personally disagree with that law
I think people should be allowed to proselytization to any religion.
I am a full supporter of free speech
but yes I can claim that christians are not persecuted against
because christians aren't being persecuted against
the one's that are being persecuted are the one's who commit proselytization
Okay, so you believe that people who try to convert others to Christianity/Judaism are being persecuted
But you don't believe that people who are Christians/Jewish themselves do not have persecution against them?
I am talking in the cultural sense
Cause it is pretty obvious that middle eastern muslims do not have positive attitudes towards religious minorities
Which is fine, since it is their own land and their land should be of their people
@Deleted User yes dude
it is our land and we decide what laws we have in our land
Yes, that is appropriate
but we do not persecute christians for being christians or jews for being jews
Define persecute
we persecute them if they try to convert someone to their religion
persecute
/ˈpəːsɪkjuːt/
Learn to pronounce
verb
subject (someone) to hostility and ill-treatment, especially because of their race or political or religious beliefs.
harass or annoy (someone) persistently.
"Hilda was persecuted by some of the other girls"
what I meant by persecute is legal persecution.
So, middle easterns do not treat christians with ill-treatment?
I didn't mean legal persecution
Again, I never said that this was a *bad* thing
no if you wanna go by the definition of "persecute", they are not persecuted for being christian of even for proselytization
however legal action (legal persecution) is taken against those who try to convert others out of Islam
which is a law that I personally disagree with.
Okay, so would you agree with this entire statement?
"There is not a culture, in the middle east, that views religious minorities with hostility. Nor does there exist a culture that treats muslims better than minorities"
@Deleted User in the last part of that quote, you meant "that treats minorities better than Muslims"?
