"While researchers can link the measure to more theft, they found it did not lead to the state's increase in violent crime.
Violent crime spiked by about 13% after Proposition 47 passed, but researchers said the trend started earlier and was mainly because of unrelated changes in crime reporting by the FBI and the Los Angeles Police Department."
convenient that when it supports the narrative they will look at trends before and after, but when it disproves gun control they just look away
this is kinda why i dont want sanfran to be part of north california 😛
"California still has historically low crime rates despite recent changes in the criminal justice system aimed at reducing mass incarceration and increasing rehabilitation and treatment programs"
i read this as "we have the lowest crime rates **when we stop arresting people for crimes**"
"The ballot measure led to the lowest arrest rate in state history in 2015 as experts said police frequently ignored crimes that brought minimal punishment."
"Offenders convicted of those crimes were about 3% less likely to be convicted of a new crime within two years, but the researchers said it's not clear if that was because they didn't commit new crimes or because they were less likely to be arrested and prosecuted because of the lower penalties."
oh, looks like i read all that correctly
guys
the Kellie marie tran story is fake news
took me like 30 seconds to figure out it was fake news too
and to think he had a freaking loooooong argument about that a week ago
There is a big grey area in 'truth in media', obviously lies are lies, wilful ignorance is what it is.. But if you research something and click links x y and z, while I research the same thing and click links a b and c, neither of us are lying, both of us would be able to say the other lied
What
A good example would be the documentary 'Human Flow', about migrants to Europe. Everything they said was factually correct, but the picture they paint is a complete lie IMO, I was in disbelief watching it, but am I to assume they know better? Should I question if I know better?
Or when Mr Tim here researchers a story, the avenues he takes, the things he makes note of, is different to what I would notice. Everyone would follow a different rabbit hole to some extent.
There's more information about Tommy Robinson
He's in Olney prison
tons of stories saying she deleted her instagram due to harassment
I just searched her on Google and saw it.
the first stories that came out said "KMT deleted her instagram, was it harassment?"
a couple days later it changed to
but there is still no proof
in fact an old buzzfeed article just shows tons of people praising her
and the "harassment" posted by polygon is shit like
"rose was worse than jar jar"
Uh, it's Polygon
lol
Wow. That's... wow.
right it is polygon
and even THEY are showing no real harassment
their evidence is people being like "duymb movie"
Is it weird to me that I'm starting to think that they're trying to stoke the flames to try and make actual harassment with reverse psychology?
So why did she delete her Instagram, Actually?
I don't know if that's the goal but it will 100% be the result.
the only clue as to why she did is that she has posted in the apst how she doesnt like social media
according to Pew women are harassed way less than men overall
so the anrrative about women being harassed is a myth
but you have to wonder why
well
men dont complain about harassment so no one talks about it
and men dont for two main reasons
