Article 13 partly btfo
Now they are back to reworking it so it will probably come back in changed form
they're prolly gonna try and not talk about it a lot, so people will forget and then silently pass it, like they do a lot in Europe
Nope
The pirate party will never be silent about this type of legislation its their reason for existence
As for silently pasing thats bulshit they are quite open about legislation they are passing in parliament
won't be enough,
The dutch parliament has done it twice already, and the pirate party here didn't do enough to warn the people
Its press who sleeps and does not inform
i have no reason to believe those snakes of the EU will be any more honest
I think there are some honest ppl in there
But also lots of snakes
yes, but the majority are slimes
and the media is in their pocket,
So the honest people are outnumbered and can't report as wide
As for dutch i have no clue what is going on in there
our government is trying to take away our right to a referendum under the reason: "Referendums give people the idea their vote doesn't matter"
because they've twice just flat out ignored referendum outcomes
Once for financing the corrupt government in Ukraine during that crimea incident
and once for holding a referendum to keep the referendum
and in both cases the vote said "Don't do it"
And they are just flatout ignoring it
and tell the state funded media to be silent about it
I am certain you guys in netherlands could organize campaign to stop them tho
You have internet and social media what is stopping you ?
Also i bet some political parties would bandwagon on this
which country is trying to take away referendum?
Dutch
Apparently
ah
I dont know any details
the neverlands
the government not respecting your referendums is something you have in common with bongland so you got that going for ya
bongland?
Well in bongland they did state it in the refferendum law
That its just "advisory"
So no plebs could fuck them up lol
and well, the reason for them doing it is that our current government is a bunch fo suck-ups,
The Ukraine referendum was the deciding vote on whether or not Europe would support the Ukraine government,
So in order to be pals with germany and such, they went quiet after the referendum said "No", and then secretly just agreed anyway
I am sure it was worth it lol
and they then discovered (like the Brexit vote) people don't care much for using our tax money to help other countries, so they vote no on such things, which ofc reflects badly on the Dutch in the EU,
So they want to abolish the referendum,
So the people called a referendum to cancel the abolishment, and the Prime minister himself said they would just ignore the referendum about it
Telling Germany no is much more popular with your electorate these days
yeah
a complied list of referendums in european countrys that were either never acted on or actually countered would be interest
